I have a GMC terrain denali paid off that I drive on the weekend with the fam (original deal was 6k down 590 a month, paid it off in less than 3 years).
Changed jobs last year so needed a commuter car, got an 13' Acura TSX for 300 a month (2000 down, 15k miles a year lease).

Do what works for you but just to let you know you can have both at the same time you just have to make more money than you spend. Alot of them entrepreneurs people usually know are honestly working their own jobs. I have a friend from grade school dude makes 100k a month minimum doing loan brokering and he has a note on his car. That's just one example but there is more but all I'm saying to you and anybody else is you don't have to starve to lose weight if you do your diet right
