Last night, I made fried chicken with mac n' cheese. For seasonings, I used black pepper, seasoning salt, cayenne pepper, and some parsley. For the oil, I used vegetable oil. Here's a pic below:
I wanted it to be more crispy with a better, stronger and more extravagant taste, but this will do. Any tips?
need a deeper pan homie. get one of those dutch ovens, or just a big cast iron skillet.
also, if you want that truly extravagant experience, you gotta use some form of animal fat - vegetable oil is

there's a lot of different techniques for getting the best skin; flour-egg-flour, buttermilk, shake'n'bake, etc. comes down to preference and experimenting
at the end of the day, pan frying can get hella messy so I just do my chicken in the oven and if I want fried chicken I'll get it from a restaurant that has a deep fryer (preferably a broaster, place across the street has these old, colonel sanders era broasters that are the GOAT chicken I've had)
@OP , how'd that mac'n'cheese turn out tho
