Appreciate the hell out of him now but when I was 13-14 I remember hating DDP because I was such a Hogan mark. Thought he was the corniest muthafukka around taggin up wit Karl Malone and then Jay Leno.

"HOLLYWOOD.... SCUM..... HOGAN!!!!"

"ERIC.... SCUM.... BISCHOFF!!!!"

:mjlol:

But yea in hindsight he was pretty awesome. Don't think he would have gotten as over in WWF though (not talkin about when he came back I'm talkin had he come up in the WWF instead of WCW).

Man, I don't know DDP really had a passion for the biz and usually cats like that finds ways to get over and stay over for good. I'm not saying he would be over Austin or Rocky but he could of rivaled foley for the third spot or could of been foe for them.

Brooklynnn!!!
GOAT finisher

Was booked as a real nicca from jersey

OD charisma n stayed over 10+ years

he was WcW's Sandman

Only face aside from Sting pre Goldberg who would stand up too the NWO

And in the highest drawing company in the highest peak of wrestling ever

DDP was one of the guys that made the upper midcard in WCW so great. He was a big guy but could wrestle his ass off. His HH98 match with Goldberg is still a classic.

They tried to bury him in WWE but his natural charisma still got him over with the crowd.

Those Diamond Cutter variations :ohlawd:

He actually got mad respect during his E run. They were all about his work ethic and professionalism, which is why when they thought he was just gonna be a Rico-esque when it came to usefulness, they were shocked and prepped him for a fairly good push.

Too bad that corner suplex fukked his neck up.

EDIT: DDP was my dude, tho. Late start to his career, hilarious nWo whipping dog, but had the most GODLY feud with Randy Savage
That Savage feud was flames.

I read somewhere he didn't start his career until he was in his thirties. Da fukk? :wtf:

Yeah back when I got into wrestling heavy , I was bugged out to know he was like 45 in 97. Dude was driving HonkyTonk man down to the ring at WM6:russ:

I like DDP a lot, I was a legit NWO mark and he was the only one who I saw as a threat to them. Plus the diamond cutter was lethal to me, while the Torture Rack was :beli: status.
