Its not just the rockstar songs nikkas was wearing chains off the pants and rock Von Dutch ,V neck T shirts,ripped tight ass jeans,plus mothafukkas starting to skate board and all that. Dip Set made phrases like we some rockstars and a lot of rappers used the phrase.Dip set pretty much helped kick that rockstar rapper hybrid off.Plus you had a lot of song with rock beats, I never got caught up in that rock n roll trend though .

Shiny suit era was only for rappers and entertainers.

Even R. Kelly and Luda made a rock star song with Kid Rock

Shiny Suit Era basically means the end of the hardcore rap era that dominated the 90s (grimy in the early '90s) and the switch to more pop friendly rap. It was definitely real.

The Rockstar era was brief but it was also real. Travis Barker was poppin within hip hop circles for a second. People were realy wearing Ed Hardy and Affliction
