Lebron had 28.2 PTS (57% FG, 52% 3PT, 79% FT) - 7.8 REB- 4.0 ASS 2.0 ST 0.4 BLK so the line above is false

Spurs had 6 players scoring 41% and better on 3, bad defense and turnovers by the Heat overall. Having said that Spurs also weren't great on defense: its just that Miami's shooters missed a lot of open shots.
The Heat actually did very well in the first 2 games and had the aircon thing and the subsequent Lebron cramps not happened, the narrative could be totally different. The heat were on top and dictating the tempo. It would have been a different ballgame going back home up 2-0 in the finals.
Part of the problem was the way they had to go about getting Lebron his points. The ball movement and pace and space shyt was gone. A lot of shot clock was wasted on just running Lebron pick and rolls. Especially anytime Kawhi was guarding him. He'd call for two or three picks until the Spurs switched it and he got Kawhi off of him. So while Lebron got his I think it completely killed the rhythm of the offense.

Perfect storm. The Spurs were pissed off after blowing a chip the year before and the Heat were fatter and sassier. Spurs were moving the ball and hitting shots like a video game and the Heat just stopped trying on defense after game 2. Spurs had 10 dudes on fire and the Heat had one nikka that could hit a shot. The Spurs were the one team in the league that the Heat could not overwhelm with their talent and veteran wiles and that was pretty much all the Heat had to give at that point after 4 Finals runs with a clearly over-matched coach. That's why I always say, you don't beat Bron with straight up talent (OKC), you beat him with superior coaching and overall team play (GSW, SA).

Arguably the most lopsided NBA finals series ever

Just imagine if we had 2013 Danny Green in this series :scust:

If I remember correctly, Mario Chalmers was absolute a$$hole and Norris Cole is fukkin Norris Cole so there's that

Wade :mjlol::scust: nikka hit rock bottom in his entire post-szn career I'd say

LeBron and Bosh was essentially all they had offensively (them nikkas put Ray on a crucifix)

Even with all this being said, the "forces that be" fukking up the arena in Game 1 is the biggest reason, Miami pretty much had that game until LeBron absolutely couldn't play anymore. fukked their morales up going forward

fukk San Antonio
