But the ones that didn't stay home put Trump over the top. My point is, all these complaints about Bernie are eerily similar to what never-Trumpers said in '16.
Donald Trump was the front runner from the moment he announced until the moment he locked up the nomination.

But we've reached the point we're Bros are comparing Bernie to Trump as a positive argument.

2020, year of the Horseshoe. :francis:

Y’all are really Overthinking what happened. Bernie was up in the polls by a healthy margin. Even in places like N.C, he was virtually tied. After Nevada, the two trusted liberal callable news sources (decided to go all in for Biden. A week’s worth of relentless anti Bernie propaganda resulted in what we witnessed on Super Tuesday. We saw 40 point swings in some of these states. The people that made up their minds late all went to Biden.
I live in NC. Bernie was never the front runner in the most populous cities.

He only had a shot when 30% could carry the state.

He has a hard ceiling. It's something Nap has been right about up to this point.

You're fukking shameless.

After ruining this forum you have the gall to be retrospective.

All of this should have been obvious to you for years.

You let white boys in Brooklyn gas you up.

Progressives are incompetent.

All you need to run for POTUS is the media giving you free airtime, a bunch of endorsements, and thats all. Never even have to fukking step foot in a state in a primary.

Attack the poster not the content. You have no rebuttal.

You just did the same thing.

Anyway I'll play your game. How has Bernie alienated people?

Please point me to a a person who has democratic socialist principles who was alienated by Bernie?

im serious, pretend their names are candidate A and candidate B. fukk our opinions

how do you see candidate A winning this primary? by what set of circumstances?

If Bernie wins enough delegates on Tuesday to keep it close or take a lead then he kills Biden in the debate next Sunday, which is likely, momentum can swing in his favor. Once it does Biden has no other big move to take the momentum back and look more electable.

You asked about how Bernie could win and when I give you an option you cry about how Bernie trying to win will hurt Biden if Bernie loses. The premise of the thread is in bad faith. You want Bernie to try to win while not trying to point out Biden's obvious flaws because it will "hurt Biden in the general" as though Trump and the GOP will hold back on saying that same shyt with the receipts to back it up. You are the one that thinks Biden is more electable, even with all his flaws, if that's true nothing Bernie says will matter to the voters.

It's not that simple though.

Bernie has to balance it just right. Biden's main theme will be unity, and the party shouldn't be torn apart by dissent because the main goal is to beat Trump.

If Bernie attacks too much he is going to turn off the people who thinks so.

If he attacks too little he become ineffective. He is going to have the thread the needle just right to sway voters, standing over Biden like Ali may not be the look he wants to go for.

I wouldn’t say incompetent, but I do think it was arrogant to run on the mad at the world/burn it down rhetoric again, there are lots of people who want to change things but aren’t angry. I also feel like 2020 just shook out to not be a good cycle to push for ideology, people weren’t paying attention to it in the same way they were trying to calibrate who’s “the best candidate”

Biden has a rally of thousands of people in STL.

He had a 7 minute stump speech and leaked that Kamala has endorsed him.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a POTUS candidate having a 7 minute stump speech. :mindblown:

Polls don't mean shyt! Before super Tuesday Bernie had all the momentum. But it's definitely clear that Bernie is running against everyone at this point so it will probably be an L.

The only way Bernie wins is if people actually vote for him in swing states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. Depending on how this progresses I might make a decision not to vote at all. Somebody else said it here before, the democrats are bought by the corporates. If no progressive candidates win then there's no reason for me as an educated individual who's doing decent for themselves to continue fighting for things like M4A and free education when folks of lower class who actually need the safety net more than I do get brainwashed by the media and vote for the corporate shills.

Bingo. Its :camby: for the "Democrats" after this if Bernie doesn't get the nom

He has no path, he never had a path...

Been said it 100 times, the far left cannot win a general election...

It was painfully obvious Bernie would be in trouble when the 5 moderates in the race formed DNC voltron instead of siphoning votes from each other...
It was pretty obvious when he was barely beating pete with 5 moderates and it has nothing to do with the DNC. Voters just don't connect with bernie as a candidate regardless of his great policies
