Perfect comparison

I think he means as far as talent acquisition goes, not performance. I swear Wenger doesn't even have have the transfer windows memorized, he just sleeps right through them :snoop:
I know bruh...but it hurts

Folks must forget how bad the Celtics were when they started their rebuild. It was rondo and bums (admittedly ainge should've traded rondo sooner)

They were tanking for Wiggins and got porked in the lottery. Stevens being an elite coach has tricked people into thinking they can win now

Get ayton/Porter (or both) next year and this is moot

What is Ainge doing?
What are the Pacers doing?
:picard:

The Indiana Pacers reportedly turned down a bounty of draft picks and players from the Boston Celtics on draft night in a proposed package that would have sent Paul George to the reigning Atlantic Division champions.

According to ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman and the Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach, the Celtics offered three first-round picks and two starters in exchange for George at the 2017 NBA draft on June 22.

It was the Boston 1st, clippers pick which is protected til 2020 then becomes a 2nd round pick, and the Grizzlies pick which isn't unprotected until 2021

The Sixers are TRASH you can't roll out a squad of under 22 year olds and expect to do a got damn thing. Them boys gonna be chum for the rest of the league. The bucks gotta show they can play winning team basketball. The rest of the east besides Washington and Toronto on a good night is Babbage too. Ainge won by not doing a damn thing and watching everybody go out west.

Who cares if he loses some players because he doesn't over pay them. Do y'all really think with the way this team is constructed and the type of coaching they have that losing any single player would make this team any worse? They lost IT and played better in the playoffs.

Blake, PG, Boogie, Butler... these aren't players that you add to a roster and your automatically a dynasty. Not to mention they all come with headaches that could ruin the team dynamic.

Look I understand this a different generation and people love to see big name players moving around rather than building chemistry working to get a little bit better every year. But, that's how front office guys get fired by gambling on diva superstars and it not working. Honestly I think the East is up for grabs with all the drama in Cleveland that situation looks closer to a meltdown.

Will Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum even approach the level of the players you bashed in this thread?

It's good considering PG is only gonna be in Boston for one year:francis:

I'm confused... wasn't the Celtics in the ECF?

Y'all want Ainge to trade away the core of the roster for what reason exactly?

Paul George openly shat on his teammates and quit in the playoffs and leaving at end of contract... Jimmy Butler had locker room problems and traded away for a injured player.... Boogie Cousins is a absolute team cancer

These teams didnt as far as Boston putting together a buncha names not even thinking about how the pieces fit.

Boston is a Cavs injury away from being in the Finals. None of these trades changes that.

This post is so wrong

It's funny people blaming Danny for Indy making a shytty trade to spite PG and other teams.

Instead of Indy taking a good but not absolutely loaded package from Boston, they take a subpar one from OKC.

It's like Indy was like, well if I can't get over on Boston then I'm not going to talk any trade with you and will send PG elsewhere just cause I can.

That's how GMs lose jobs. Danny was smart for not giving in to lop sided demands when you see the bag of sandwiches Indy took back for PG.

That being said, Danny needs to do something. fukk. If all we do is max out IT I'm gonna be pissed.

You're forgetting that Bird resigned earlier this season and PG didnt tell Indy he was leaving by that point. There's an entirely different perspective now in Indy's FO. If danny did his due diligence he wouldve been in good shape

Plus Crowder & Smart/Bradley. Sabonis and Oladipo with his 21 million dollar contract is better?

If you're going to take on contracts why not Kevin Love who's a better player, why not the Lakers' offer with Randle, Clarkson + picks? Or even the supposed Denver offer which would of got them Gary Harris? Criticizing anyone but Kevin Pritchard in this deal is silly.

It's a fair question and I don't really have a good reason. I'm by no means a die hard Danny fan. I like that he didn't blow it up to trade for a PG rental. Butler would've been nice. Only thing I can think is that Danny wouldn't come off both #3 and another lotto pick, plus players.

In reality he probably thought Crowder and Rozier plus those picks was too much.

I doubt Hayward comes to Boston, and it kind of sucks that all the other moves took place before the Celtics could even meet with Gordon, but thems the brakes and that's how the business goes.
Reports said that Ainge didn't even want to offer the #3 straight up for Jimmy

This is lesss about Ainge and more about how dumb the Pacers FO is. They got offered a shyt ton more for PG before the trade deadline. Hawks offered 5 #1s if I'm correct. Celtics offered even more after PG said he was bouncing.

Have fun rebuilding Pacers brehs

I can't even blame Danny. These GMs are trying to rape him out of everything at this point. They see how desperate the fanbase is and how desperate he probably is.

The Pacers GM is a fukking autist for taking those two over the 3 picks and Crowder (and whoever else)
Like I said in the other thread..
3 number 25 picks :stopitslime:
