What happened to 9-5 jobs?

Man these jobs have switched it up to 8-5. Gotta make sure they still get 40 hours of work out of you even with the lunch break. Bullshyt! I dont know anyone who works traditional work hours anymore. Its always some extra shyt if you working salary.

Some service industry jobs wish they could get a 9-5. Working all sorts of backwards hours & weekends. That's why it's so important that you find yourself a skill set or specialized trade that not many can do. That gives you the leverage etc.

I basically set my own hours and have easygoing bosses that don't micromanage my schedule.

What do people do on lunch break anyways? What takes an hour? It takes me 15 minutes tops to eat my lunch. I guess if your boss really keeps track of you and need to go pick up a gift, get a haircut or an oil change or something a full hour for lunch would be useful.

A lot of people who dont work in the boonies leave for lunch. And sometimes you need that hour just to unwind a bit, nobody wants to rush their food then hop right back into work.
