Americans work the second highest hours in the world after China

Americans are overworked as hell and 40 hours a week is too much. Should be 32 hours a week and have a 4 day work scedule. It'd be far better for work productivity and quality of life. Capitalism fails.

A lot of people who dont work in the boonies leave for lunch. And sometimes you need that hour just to unwind a bit, nobody wants to rush their food then hop right back into work.

Most of the time, yes. If I have time I might go out to a restaurant, but that's like once a month.

i typically do a 9 to 5 but thats of my own choosing..i can start and end work at a time i choose..or i can work less than that..as long as the work gets done or is done

Thats sounds reasonable if you have a job sitting at a desk most of the day but if you're on your feet for 7 hours of the day constantly moving then that hour really aint shyt

They should, they can easily afford it. Capitalism is just like communism except worse. Instead of a few select individuals having all the wealth, it's the corporate leaders and shyt that are sitting on us. Basically we got more asses on our faces than a communist nation

Yeah, I see the need for that. My understanding is that most on your feet type jobs have pretty set break and lunch times.

We were getting paid the same for 35 hours of work a week. They upped that shyt to 40 and didnt give us a penny more.

I tell everyone that people smoke just to take breaks. They laugh but I know the deal. People just sitting outside talking to each other, on the phone, doin whatever. I guess the higher risk of cancer is worth it to some people.

Ive never had or seen a 9-5 job ever. All ive ever seen is 8-5 with that hour lunch.

Its all good though, i go get my lunch clock in and eat at my desk
