R&B reached it's peak in the 90's, then just fell right off in the mid/late 00's. Now there's no money in it anymore since trap and EDM is poppin.

Im just sick of some of these R&B songs with beats that sound like the water level off Donkey Kong Country.

too many r and b artists are trying to cater/impress the hip hop crowd. some people are just hip hop heads. we need to accept that. focus on the r and b audience, not hip hop.

I got a question there is an R&B song that was popular on the radio last year which had a traditional r&b sound for the bulk of the song but would break into a hard late 80s west coast synth gfunk beat for a few bars every like 16 bars or so... does anyone know the name?
