Men (as a collective) are supposed to make more than their women (as a collective). I'm not sure why people make this argument. We're not your competition.

I only said that because there’s a false narrative that there aren’t enough black men on Black women’s level. There’s also a false narrative that Black women make more money them Black men.

Damn that ratio at Howard is crazy. Young brehs must be swimming in p*ssy down there. :ohhh:

Respectable men with "their shyt together" are out there but, assuming they aren't completely lame/weird, them type of dudes are never lacking for options.
Some of them get married and the rest live life like playas playing games and smashing chicks
Just from what I see in my circle/city we are the minority. Majority of my reasonable boys are married and basically had their pick (within reason) of women when we were single. All this probably applies even more if they went to HBCU and have that all black educated network to draw from

I don't know what to tell women who missed their chance before 30 :yeshrug:. A handful of women I know are the bread winner and took a chance on a breh who is still building themselves up, that's an option if he really a good guy and giving an earnest effort not to be a bum nikka

When it comes to college most people don't push it on the avg teenage boy.
We are taught to do trades or go into the military if we are not standout students.
I wish we were taught that. Would've found something to do way earlier than I did after graduating high school. They just wanted us to go because it would make the districts numbers look better. Selfish bytches

Not sure who is looking to get married in college....I went to a PWI for UG and an Ivy for grad and I NEVER looked for a woman for marriage there.

The idea of meeting a wife/husband in college seems so 1950s...imo no one should be getting married until you're about 30...anything much earlier than that and you're setting yourself up

nikkas really need to understand that a large portion of black women look at "regular" 9-5 men as "lame". This mindset carries onto alot of them well into their mid to late 30s. By time they realize their mindset (alot don't even do this), it's too late for most of them.
I've heard both sides to this time and time again some men swear it's a myth, and other women swear that they don't...but I don't care what anyone says, they can deny it all day...i've seen it with my own eyes in UG.

back in the early 2000s, I use to literally see BW on our college campus bring "thugs" off the street and onto campus into their rooms and into campus parties, while the college brothas were single...they avoided the college campus brehs like the plague in a lot of situations

The internet isn’t real
Yo, I have NEVER heard any (Black) woman say anything about a man’s salary, 100k, etc. NEVER

Who is the guy who says “neverending psy-op” ??
That’s what this feels like. Even on social media. I never saw a focus on 100k until KS starting throwing that around.

Black women that talk like that still looking for Tupac in a business suit, regular men are invisible to them.

They use that kind of talk to justify dating out.

Then it be with a cac that make 60k and shower 3 times a week.
This is a whole fact. Blame the media for telling all black men to be swagged out extroverts, just to have female companionship

Black men out-earn black women in America—and we’ve out-earned them ever since the government started keeping track of it. I’m so sick of this narrative and how pervasive it is. Shyt! Even Dr. Umar said ( mistakenly ) that we’re the only group of men that are out-earned by our women. The real problem is many black women look down on men who don’t have to dress up to go to work. There are plenty of blue collar professions that pay six-figure salaries, but black, college educated women don’t think they’re equally yoked with those brehs.

If by "level" you mean college degree, then that's a statistical fact. The income myth is obviously false, and it doesn't matter anyway because it's not and shouldn't be a competition. Y'all should be competing with other men and we should be competing with other women.

This. They really are. Either in finance or tech. Doing very well for themselves. Really tired of seeing these “black men don’t do” narratives being promoted. In certain cases, HBCUs have initiatives and outreach with different career sectors that PWIs may not offer specifically.

The problem is people want to spam the front page with dysfunction, not just here but social media or news cycles in general.

Wish I can rep you.

Any buckdancing c00n that spreads the lie that black men that graduate from HBCUs dont make good $$$, need to be purged from social media altogether.

Every finance firm that we work with is Morgan State, NC A&T, Virginia State, Howard graduates,

T. Rowe Price is basically a jump off point for HBCU finance majors in Maryland.

Goldman Sachs hires analysts from HBCUs. Tech hbcu degrees will get you in the door of most govt agencies, contractors and firms in the DMV area. BigLaw and SV/SF tech startups/emerging tech markets have a major diversity problem still but that’s not true representation of hbcu grads anyway. Really I think a lot of these threads are created with ill intent to keep spreading their message of defeatism. Check any 2019-2022 hbcu graduating class roster and there’s a lot of black men on that list. 70% of the black men who regularly post in The Coliseum, the law school thread and TLR are hbcu graduates in various fields - you can tell who is who on here by observation; don’t let those dumb LSA wenches and c00n adversarial autobots conspiring with their white cohorts tell it bc they look for sensationalist negative rhetoric to compu-brag about with their cac branded comparisons. Get that graduation paper and then get your PAPER. Shaming people bc they want to go to school. Not everyone aspires to be in hvac repair, plumber or trucker.
:deadrose:
Nothing wrong with those but the way people promote this trade shyt like black men aren’t trying abd working to do better is annoying and blatant gender baiting asf.

This is exactly what it is “psy-op” in publications

It's so weird because I feel like there's this segment of men and Black men specifically, that are invisible to many ppl. Like there's a huge middle ground btwn your 20k a year retail worker and someone who makes 6 figures(which is not common).

I see these BM everyday working for waste management or the county or getting their CDLs, etc. Maybe it's my area but the women I know who aren't attached are just looking for men with their stuff together. There's never a discussion of a specific dollar amount so these discussions to me always seem so...tunnel focused.

As intended. The characters prancing about the social media stage are lying. Those stories never add up.

- Social media noise accounts for maybe 15-20% (being very generous here) of the actual population. Most regular everyday people don't have time to be on social media, they have things to do. As it's designed, social media skews toward younger people and people with office gigs with tons of "free" time for browsing/posting. ("Free" in the sense that there's lots of choice involved in how you use your time. Most everyday people don't have any such choice, they have things to do. Whether you're wasting that "free" time is on you.) So by default you're dealing with a segment of a segment of the population to begin with. Noise doesn't mean numbers. Adjust your lenses and filters accordingly.

- LMAO @ the panicky tone to that quote, what the hell did you expect would happen? This is the matriarchal setup you wanted, nicht wahr? You got led by the feminist nose into the most obvious corral and now you're surprised you've been branded for selective breeding? Isn't this what your fabled intelligentsia has been pushing for over a century? So what's the problem? Earning less? Why did you think all those loans were suddenly shoveled at you for academia? Because you earned/deserved it? They knew they could use your vanity to have you turn against your own men, turn away from your families, extol all the "virtues" of single-mother-who-don't-need-no-whatever...and pay you less all the while. They knew. What did you expect? You're coming out of academic pipelines they designed to funnel you into their corporations, into their industries, and you'd come out on top? On top of what, exactly? Pride? Good luck dining on that particular delicacy.

Oh, a note here to the sisters who have wisdom and see past all the rubbish: for those who don't have money as their guiding star, who look to personal/family compatibility and loyalty first, who make 120k but have no ego problem marrying brothers who make less...understand that your strength of character will be assailed every second of every hour of every day. ESPECIALLY by the LMNOP crowd who quietly hate everything about you, your actual femininity that they try so desperately to emulate and fail, your family that you can produce naturally as life dictates when all they have is loneliness and drama-prone "entertainment". They hate what they cannot possibly have, so they will always try to make you feel a way and chisel away at your self-esteem. Don't fall for it. Let the clowns say what they will, you are admired and cherished and loved and always will be. Their confusion has nothing to do with you.

Unceasing psyops.
