Mentally soft is saying the only thing holding up your return is your 'hamstrings are on fire' and weeks later you still aint playing

Bulls need a real leader.I'd trade rose he only has 5 years left before he's steve francis status

wrong year to tank even the first pick in this draft wouldnt give him anything more then what he already has now around him which is a bunch of decent role and rotation players

Don't be dense.

The year to tank is the year he can't play.

You're not going to tank when he's healthy and waste a fully useful year of his career.

You could have added an Oladipo, Otto Porter, Shabazz, Bennett - even Gobert/MCW.

You're argument that "it wouldn't improve what he has now" is among the worst I've ever seen. This is a lost season, make the most of it by getting talent. It was a no-doubter.

Even if you think there's no difference between the 5-8th pick and the 15th-18th pick. You could trade down and build assets.

C'mon. :leostare:

As the biggest Heat fan on this site, I :pacspit: at the mere thought.

Lebron James will not lose another game this season.

Rose needs another star caliber player next to him which you're not gonna fidn in this draft

Im not saying id rather the 17th pick and lose in the first then miss the playoffs and get a high pick but in this draft nobody is pushing the Bulls over the top at all

This kind of thinking.... :deadmanny:

You add talent whenever you can add talent.

And if you were to add an Oladipo/Porter/Bennett/Mclemore - Who knows how they develop, they could come in and have a Beal-like offensive impact - opening the game up for Rose even more.

I'm sorry, your line of thinking just makes zero sense in this situation. There's literally NO POTENTIAL NEGATIVES of tanking this year. The season was lost before last year's ended.

If Rose made his return as expected shortly after the ASB why would it have been a lost season? They positioned themselves fairly well for a playoff run if Rose returned, got his legs under him and worked off the rust in 20ish games.

Im guessing this was the teams line of thinking, otherwise they should have really tanked and moved Deng, etc., for picks/younger talent.

Rose just never came back :yeshrug:

This is the exact kind of stupid thinking I'm referring to. To just assume he'd be back to 100% by then was a huge and needless leap of faith.

It's shortsighted to EXPECT and NEED him to turnaround in less than a year and power this team to a championship. And it borders on reckless with his health.

You're locked in with Rose for four MORE years after this. There was no need to rush here. You're getting Mirotic next year, which will be like picking up an nba starter for nothing, AND you could have added lottery talent.

It was foolish. The smart approach from a smart organization would have been to tell him to take the year off, and load up for bear for the coming years. Next year Deng is expiring and Boozer become more tradeable - and suddenly you have ASSETS around Rose and Rose's future.

It was stupid, and its already costing the franchise and anybody defending it either 1) doesn't understand how the nba works, or @) thinks this team has enough talent and doesn't understand how basketball works.

I know he is slightly retarded, but I don't understand how Rose can be so hated. I never see him make bad decisions on the court.
