They should have traded Westbrook instead of Harden. Harden is a more reliable shooter than Westbrook and a way better defender. They could have gotten a combo guard that can shoot the 3 and play defense.

Anyone on this topic, give me westbrook easily. he's a better playmaker(when he wants to be) better defender, better rebounder, and harder to gameplan for. he can play off and on the ball unlike harden, hardens game requires usage on ball to be effective, where as westbrook is a natural 2 guard and can do both.

Ibaka is NOT a great all-around defender. He's a great weakside shot blocker and that's it. I've never seen him lockdown anyone man on man in the post.

He got dominated by Tiago Splitter just the other night on the block

why would he average more because he went to houston :wtf: he already takes the most shots on his team.

It's a better fit for both teams. Celtics need more of a scoring PG like westbrook, thunder need more of a distributor for KD and Harden

we already the #1 offense(better then last year) and we need a distributor to allow perkins to shoot sub 45% on post ups interesting :ohhh:

The biggest mistake the Thunder have made was not clearing the Tyson Chandler trade. With him instead of Perkins at the 5 they would have been ridiculous, considering they win in spite of Perkins.

I'm fine with perkins, the issue i have is brooks overplaying him. he's one of the best low post defenders but he's a situational role player. we should be playing small 80% of the time instead of big, it would allow westbrook and durant to be 2x more productive with spacing. brooks mismanagement of brewer lamb etc is starting to really get on my fukking nerves.

Now if they traded Westbrook for Rondo.......

Pass first Rondo with those shooters/scorers in KD/ Harden...... That is a scary sight.

KD may legit average 35-40 with Rondo at the point.

But why would they trade westbrook for rondo? :dwillhuh:

Westbrook craps on him, the Celtics have been one of the best teams in the league without rondo this year(and better offensively)

:rudy: if you really think the Thunder style of offense aka throwing a pass to KD by the midrange and having him just shoot it up with the shot clock winding down or Westbrook pulling up for a contested foul line midrange with 18 seconds left on the clock is the best offense in the NBA compared to a team with a better overall offensive sets (Spurs) based off ball movements on and off the ball than I guess you are right :rudy:

you think its going to get any different with the personnel we have? :heh:. 3 of the starting players have some of the worst ast% Turnover rates in the league, it is a complete miracle how this squad has positive results in the first place. ball movement will never exist with this team, especially by playing with the current big men. Ibaka is one of the lowest assisting big men in NBA history.

Even if he's not an elite one on one defender, the Thunder don't need him to be. It's not like we're playing in an era where offense goes primarily through the bigs anyway. He blocks and alters shots, that's what OKC needs. His jumper is improving as he starts to stretch the floor more too.
