what if the Thunder traded Westbrook instead of Harden?

In retrospect with Harden blowing up like he has and if the proposed Rondo for Westbrook trade was legit than maybe the Thunder would have been better off doing that. Though Rondo holds the rock at least he would be trying to find KD for the shot instead of trying to get his own. I love Russy's game when he is on and engaged but sometimes he just blacks out and does off the wall shyt that doesn't make sense for a player of his caliber. I feel he will have to be moved to the shooting guard position eventually and they are gonna have to find a big defensive minded point guard who can hit an open J.

@Coney Island

great post. i keep telling people that the heat need to mail some of their rings to the thunder or give them some type of artificate. theyre playing a major role in miami's potential 3-peat.

theyre knocking off teams that miami does not want to play. yet, they cant beat miami themselves because theyre stuck as being miami-lite.

and you can thank oklahoma's front court presence for taking care of the spurs, grizz and them.

they need to trade him for a BIG MAN POST PLAYER.... thers not many options tho

with durants deadly range.. that team needs to play inside out.. thats a championship formula thats proven to be scuccefull through out history...

right now there built kind of like MIA but the problem is that they will NEVER be able to beat the heat at their own game the fast run and gun ish..

the only way to beat MIA is to be physical and have a inside defenive and post presence and IBAKA is not THE ANSWER... hes a great weak side defender but he shouldnt be a 3rd option on a championship caliber team..

imagine if they traded :youngsabo: for LOVE/RUBIO that would be :leon: i would move ibaka to C

rubio
sefalosha
durant
love
ibaka

im a laker fan tho :manny: just thinking out loud here.. and i see K.LOVe in LA's future imagine him in D'antoni sysytem his game was made for that system..

They would have the best scorer rebounder passer and shot blocker in the league if this was their team. But they would probably have the most offensively inept backcourt ever. Durant and Love wouldn't make up for that.

Thunder/TSC
the part thats gone be an issue to me and kinda was last year

Miami is elite at playin small ball but the Thunder cant keep up esp if they not working on it during the reg season
but when the Thunder play big they STILL dont have somebody thats gone give the Heat problems thats the real problem to me
the advantage they want/have isnt really an advantage imo
the Heat dont wanna see a team like Memphis, San Antonio int he finals cuz they got skilled bigman
but if the thunder wanna win they need to start nick collison at the 5 in the finals imo...he waaaayy more active/can run the floor a lil better then Perk imo

That's the thing though, our most effective lineup has been Russy, Thabo, K-Mart, KD, & any of our bigs. But Brooks refuses to give that lineup any real time against Miami. He'll play them together against anyone else but not the Heat. It is beyond frustrating watching Brooks coach.

We just got Fisher (:snoop: ) & Brewer. Somehow Brooks has found time to throw Fisher out there for extended minutes yet Brewer can't get any time. Our rookies can't get any time but Fisher shows up & magically gets 15-20 minutes a game. The only upside to his rotations so far has been that he hasn't set Reggie down.

this the finals bro you know damn well perkins cant run wit these boys...plus he is not even a good enough rebounder to make up for that fact...nikka average 5 & 5 lolol

why would he average more because he went to houston :wtf: he already takes the most shots on his team.

It's a better fit for both teams. Celtics need more of a scoring PG like westbrook, thunder need more of a distributor for KD and Harden

Whether he takes da most shots or not
Hes still playin with the player who leads da league in scoring
Obviously he takin even more shots if he aint in da picture

And houston is a fast paced team that is having crazy scoring games with jeremy lin as their pg

It would b insane with westbrook
