I couldn’t care less about “sides.” I’m a black man living in the UK purely because my grandparents chose to migrate here. I don’t take pride in my country like a lot people do.

I just find it stupid that people try to sound educated about cultures they’ve never been exposed to. I’ve got a lot of family in the states and I’ve spent significant periods of time there and even I wouldn’t dare talk about America like I know it because I’ve never lived there. So I think it’s dumb to people to speak on places they’ve never been to.

I could easily say that jazz music was influenced by Europeans since the saxophone and other instruments that are prominent in the genre was invented by Europeans.
