Ain't no such thing as "a black french culture", except if we talk about the brothers in the West Indies or French Carribean.
So the young brehs born in France, who's parents just immigrated from West Africa don't have black culture but the ones from West Indies do?

You’re doing way too much bro.

It’s very difficult to find any form of culture across the globe that hasn’t had external influence.

I could easily say that jazz music was influenced by Europeans since the saxophone and other instruments that are prominent in the genre was invented by Europeans.

This website has gone to shyt.
Hes referring to a direct SONIC influence

Lol your example is not the same thing

whatever comes from the instrument comes from the musician or is a reflection of the musician. Instruments come from cultures all over
But the sound would not be possible without the invention of the instrument itself. It’s an equally important component.

And you’re right, instruments come from all over but unless you can prove AA’s invented the saxophone itself, then you can always make the argument of foreign influence in the genre itself.

You see where I’m going with this?

I await another post from you moving the goal post.

An instrument is not a unique style of performance, it is a vessel for it.

Word, I'm sick of hearing this imaginary European influence on black music in this segregated ass country. Apartheid jim crow era, whites were right there with us! They just had so much influence on our musicians, yeah fukkin right.

It's always some weirdo cracker who decides to look into black history, probably gotta a PHD in black history or some shyt, just arbitrarily declares that whites helped create jazz or rock n roll, that our music was a "fusion" of European and African influences "the negroes got it from the whites!" Even though our music sounded nothing like European music. fukk outta here!

Im defo not discrediting AA’s of your music breh. AA culture is without a doubt one of the most influential on the world.

I live in the UK and I can tell you the OP is some bullshyt.

But acknowledging foreign influence does not suddenly not make it part of your culture and that’s the point I’m making.
