If you think "the tranny thing" is a bigger deal that the Republicans curbing voting rights, gerrymandering black communities from being hindered to vote, literal nazis running in their homestates and winning, state governors using white nationalist militias as muscle, intimidating democratic voters and voting centers with violence, and trying to ban anything that "makes white people look bad"...then I don't know what to tell you.

Nice thread conversation. I think the answer can be sum up to ideology. People are being told what and how to think while not realizing it. The only different is conservatives are doing a better job and have heavy financial support.

Conservatives would be long screwed if it wasn't for EVERY aspect of the political system favoring them.


1. The left is screwed in the Senate because so many are shoved into a few high-population left-wing states while there are dozens of low population red states where 100,000 people get to pick a senator.

2. Black folk are screwed in the Senate because most Black folk live in White-majority red states so the Black population gets zero say in picking their senators.

3. To a partial degree leftists and Black folk are screwed in the Electoral College too, since small states get proportionally more electoral votes than big states, so even though we've only had 1 Republican win the popular vote in the last 33 years (and he needed a war-patriotism boost to get that), the Republicans still keep getting into the presidency somehow.

4. Because Republicans keep using those advantages to get into the Senate and Presidency, and because they cheat the rules, it means that we now have a 6-3 conservative majority in the Supreme Court. Just fukking crazy that Republicans have only won 1 of our last 8 popular votes for president yet have picked 6 of our 9 supreme court justices.

5. Then you get to gerrymandering which means they're fukking up the House seats too. Like in 2012, the Democrats had 1.4 million more votes in the House than Republicans, yet the Republicans won by a landslide 234 seats to 201 seats. How the fukk do you win 33 more seats with fewer votes? That's how bad the gerrymandering is. Meanwhile, when the Democrats swept into power in the House in 2018, they got TEN MILLION more votes than Republicans did....yet only won 235 seats to 199 for Republicans, basically the same margin Republicans won in 2012 without even needing a majority of the votes. In 2020 the Democrats got 5 million more House votes than Republicans, yet only won a 9-seat majority in the House.

6. And all those same factors fukk up the state House and Senate elections too, which is why even the purple states are almost all controled by Republicans legislatures, which is who gets to pass legislation, draw district lines, and keep continuing gerrymandering into the future.


It's the tyranny of the minority, it's fukking disgusting. White conservatives get the advantage at every single level.
