I hate being generalized, not saying I'm special, but everybody puts expectations on me as a black

I'm black, I have afro roots, but just fukking let me be without assumptions

I'm a person, not a collective, I like everything from Nas to jay-z, smoking weed, rapping, playing ball to lord of the rings, video games, the office and the symphony orchestra

Sometimes I feel like I'm too black for the white kids, and too white for the blacks

Personally? I want security (financial, emotional, etc) in all aspect of life, peace of mind, and the freedom to cook without judgment and be surrounded by people who truly love, appreciate and respect me for that. Just let me cook and do my thing on this world while I still have time, that and a black queen.

I want black men -- or, at least those worth a damn because in general, people ain't shyt -- to be understood by black women and for us to better understand black women, as touched on by @Eudaimonia.
