To be fair though, this is really the first gen in a long time where the strongest machine won out since the SNES. It's not the norm.
Scorpio HAS TO BE 399 or else it's DOA.
I've been out of the loop as far as gaming, so forgive me... I just watched the Microsoft E3 clip of project scorpio....
I definitely think that this is a game changer. I believe that a acceptable price point will be highly debated.
Microsoft isn't going to make this a cheap device like the 360 was. If it's going to have all the bells and whistles, then this console will be no less than $500. I believe that at that price point, hard-core gamers and casuals will flock to it. If the console ends up being $700, then I'd agree that it would be a epic failure. I can see Microsoft charging 600, or even 650 for this console.
I'm not an electronics expert, so I couldn't tell you how much the console would or should cost, even if I knew what hardware would be implemented. For me $600 is the limit and it must have sufficient storage space(Tb) and quality 4K graphical output.
