follow the money....
wow i remember a supreme court decision Citizens United that opened up a flood of dark money into campaign coffers

by all means, dont vote for the person who could potentially nominate 2 or 3 justices to overturn that ruling
vote for the fukk whos gonna do the opposite and make it even easier to funnel dark money in to every election

thats a great way to "follow the money"

we can all follow the money that the tReason party just funneled from us to their donors with their #taxscam too

so much money following!
its like all the winning

Unless nobody voted for the corrupt.
I know I said in given situation no 3rd party but I am just saying.

People care more about winning & partisanship then voting for the right person.
Then why make THIS thread if the bolded is all you cared about ?? Your making a thread about a random point then saying ohh I made this thread but don't want your opinion

It goes both ways.
You voting for the corrupt is better for the corrupt than you not voting at all as well.
In your scenario the corrupt is going to win anyway all your doing is nothing so you can feel better which is kind of pathetic . I guess if it's a vote od nazis vs a party who wanted to raise taxes on the middle class for tax breaks on the rich you'd be happy not voting because both are corrupt ? Too bad for the millions of people the nazis kill but I didn't vote for either party so I'm clean

I made a point but who said thats all care about?
I can make many other points too, & just because I make a point it does NOT mean I dont want your opinion.

If you reliably vote for the "lesser of two evils", then you give the candidates absolutely no incentive to be less evil.

You're saying the next Democrat don't have to do anything other than be better than Trump. She can spend her entire campaign appealing to moderate casually racist White voters and whatever Wall Street money she can grab, just as long as she's "better than Trump", the lowest bar in human history.

If you say that you have a minimum standard the candidate has to surpass or you won't vote at all, then you DO have an influence on the race. They have to decide whether they'll push towards the middle at the risk of losing you. They HAVE to do something to keep you.

Those claiming that it doesn't get you the "best result" are insanely short sided. They're trading in helping a crappy candidate win in this year's election for worse candidates in every future election. Then the next election they'll do it again. And they'll be so confused as to why the candidates keep getting progressively worse every time.

Voting for the "lesser of two evils" in Trump's world gives up all influence you have on the process. You might as well just say, "I like the people in power just as they are, and don't mind if they get worse."

If you want to fall in love with your candidate you'll always be unhappy

Man up and do the BETTER thing.

Not corrupt should be the standard bar.
It is not love it should just be basic requirements.

This is why the country is fukked because america is content with mass corruption.

The problem with the idea of "not voting" is that there's always more on the ballot than the Presidential election.

Your vote may not matter for the Presidential election, but it could be the deciding vote in many local elections.

Your vote could be the one that stops local judges and "good ol' boy" sheriffs from perverting justice. Or keeps state reps and senators who serve corporate interests out of power.

I can't take anyone who doesn't vote seriously. Especially if they discuss politics frequently. :scust:
