Nope. A Seaman Apprentice is an E-2 in the Navy. The "Apprentice" portion means nothing as of now, but it probably did a century ago. In short, it's just a rank; nothing more, nothing less.

I plan and schedule production, manage Inventory, make quarterly forecasts based on sales, and work daily production related miracles to keep on time delivery above 90%.

I have a business admin degree. I came in the oil and gas industry as a buyer. Learned the game and went up from there.
