I actually know most black men doing trade jobs. Good money too. But walking up to a chick in your early 20s saying you work in cooling and heating or you’re a plumber isn’t the coolest thing in the worst tbh :manny:
Choose your career based on if it sounds cool to women, brehs. Meanwhile those women probably work in a mall, if they have a job at all. Don’t let some chick working at Rainbow judge you.

The Other A
I worked in industrial maintenance for 2 years...

I was the only brother on a site of about 400 cacs...

.. I heard it all from them devils

REAL TALK.. I remember years ago I was working at a factory and suddenly noticed a black dude on the maintenance staff and I was like Oh shyt!!! :gladbron: there's a black dude on the maintenance staff!!!

About a week later the dude walked up to me (mind you I don't know this nikka at all) and he says

"Aye bruh.. Lemme ask you somethin... If you were doing your job and you go to your supervisor with a question and your supervisor says 'don't ask me questions just do the job like I fukking told you to do it or you can get the fukk out' ...what would you do??"

I was like :jbhmm:

:patrice:

:francis:

I told him "I'm sure the money good and sometimes you have to put up with shyt and do what you gotta do for that paycheck.. But there's no price on respect... :francis: And respect is everything."

He was there for about two days after that...

Never saw that nikka again.

Good ol boy system wins again

It is a simpleton mindset.
As some dudes on here want the ig baddies and hence in why they think they need to earn six figures and drive an i8 to impress such women.
But regular women respect men that earn an honest living and being broke and unemployed with no ambition or drive will never be sexy.

you want the real answer, or some feel good bullshyt?

most people nowadays, black or not, cannot handle blue collar work.

my company has a very high turnover rate.

guys come in with big talk about how much they want to learn and how hard they work, but nope the fukk out within a week

most of you talking shyt in this thread wouldn’t last either

stick to those office jobs, where you can hide in the bathroom for hours at a time and sit down at a desk all day pretending to work

trades are for men who can overcome challenges, not pussies who only know how to finesse their way through life or game the system

Good drop.

Study groups. Specificially with the goal of getting say 50 young men and your neighborhood journeyman's license in the first year. With a 10-year gold of 50000 men if you live in a large city or 10,000 if you live in a small town.

2 Black dudes i know live on my street be making some good money doing carpentry, home improvement jobs..

We live in a world that too many nikkas want a quick buck fast

It's like nikkas will say no to investments cause it might take 5 years for a return and place their hopes into the lottery everyday in hopes of quick cash

People sadly don't want to go through the process. That is where the growth you need shows. Finding success before work only happens in a dictionary brehs.

Union plumbers make $45.00+/hourly
Union electricians and lineman make $52.00+ / hourly

Especially in big cities up north :gucci:

Breh, he has no idea. Union Plumbers in NYC make $75+ an hour... Yup $75 an hour. A shame alot of brehs don't know. Plumber, Heavy Equipment, and Elevator Mechanic are probably one the highest paid professions, even more than most Doctors

Being an Electrician is superior to working at UPS...
Thats not true. Ups drivers can pull in 80-
100k. This part of the problem. Yall dont know what you're talking about. The other problems are being stuck on being feminine not ready to get your hands dirty so you can look cute for broads, buying clothes all the time and being lazy not willing to work hard.

i know a good amount of black men that work trade jobs. nothing's keeping them out of trade jobs. how can you claim "obstacles" when you have like 3+ people in here talking about they see plenty of black men doing these jobs? are you talking about ownership of companies and going beyond the employer/employee model?
