If you have to reach back to a player that started his professional career 31 years ago and has been retired for a decade just to feel safe about bringing up a name to make this point then you're saying more about your stance than mine
By the time the more advanced forms of doping (hormones and blood doping) started to leak out of Europe and into American sports Griffey was already a shot player.
I don't need to provide proof that all these athletes are doping. Every report, study, and investigation of the last 20 years tells us they are.
It's people that just want to say "but-but what about (x player here)" to feel better (I guess) about any particular athlete and refuse to accept the cold facts about athletics at a whole.
If entire teams, organizations, countries are getting busted for deep and highly sophisticated doping regiments.....why do you believe that the people they are competing against and losing to are clean?
And when it's made clear that the very organizations that are in place to police doping often underreport, aid in the cover up, or just don't report at all to keep up the myth that people like you still hold on to, do you still think the other ones are on the up and up?
Did you know the NBA didn't start testing for HGH until
2010?
Do you think NBA players, with all their need for performance and recovery aids, saw the entire world using HGH all those years and just....weren't using it?
And when they started testing for it, do you think they just stopped and didn't move onto the next medical advancement?
I guess I should say...HOW can you think that?
And that's just one drug in one league.
It is willful ignorance to believe the opposite.
