...both have to be considered here... sure some might have pulled off a more lucrative reinvention, but it might not have been as radical based on their pre-reinvention presentation.

Who you got? And why? Keep in mind, this is a reinvention while they were in the rap game... not before they got in the game and achieved some measure of notoriety.

I'm going with Queen Latifah. Never in a million years would I have thought a red, black and green wearing, Jersey reppin', pro black, borderline militant and feminist be broadcast in homes globally, essentially following Oprah's footsteps. Latifah put out a jazz album... scattin', yall.

:wow:
:dahell: How did Lil' Wayne not make that poll?!

Pitbull seem like a natural and successful progression not a reinvention.
Not really. He had a long interview with GQ a few years ago where he admits he watered down his stuff and changed his style because it was more lucrative. I'm not hating at all but this wasn't him finding his musical zone or some shyt.

How about Young Buck? He was a nobody when he was 1 of Juvenile's UTP artists until he got with G-Unit.

You can sorta say the same thing with Meek Mill. He was just another up & coming artist when he was 1 of T.I.'s Grand Hustle artists. He didn't become relevant until he got with Rick Ross & his Maybach Music imprint.
