this is mad off. Apocalypse 91 is aiight. everything after it sucks.

Apocalypse 91 is not just "aiight" ...

"Can't Trust It", "By The Time I Get To Arizona", "Shut Em Down", "Lost At Birth", etc.

It's not a classic album, but it has plenty of classic songs, and overall it's a great album

I know what they have released after Apocalypse 91 is a mixed bag to most people, but I thought they still put out some very good albums

first three are classics, two great works (BR&L which gets tons of shyt for no reason, and Renaissance), the latter of which was arguably the best hiphop album of 2008
If great to excellent means 4.5 or higher, then I can't give that to those two albums. Best album of 2008 is a consolation prize as no classic albums dropped that year. Worst year ever in some respects. This year has been awful too. Again, no classic albums. At least last year had Kendrick and Nas.

I personally think Erick Sermons second album is pretty damn great to listen to. I don't expect everyone to agree but add the first 4 EPMD records and I'm making a case for him.

certainly if cats are in here screaming Wayne & BG this isn't crazy.
I agree on Sermon.

Does MF Doom have a case?

Black b*stards
Operation Doomsday
Madvillainy
MM...Food
Take Me To Your Leader
Born Like This
Vaudeville Villain

and I'm not the biggest Doom fan
I never heard Black b*stards, but assuming that's a 4.5 or higher, add on the first KMD album, Operation Doomsday and Madvilliany. That gets you to four. Not sure i can sign off on anything else.

Really? MM...Food might be his best collection of songs....

Seriously?

it was uneven. Otis and The Joy were great. There were a few other good songs. It was probably a 3-3.5. For Jay and Ye, that's wack.

Seriously...

Can-I-Bus

I know some won't agree with Can-I-Bus but to me that's a great album, just not what people were expecting at the time.
