The N.O
Andre' Rison?!?!

The fukk outta here with that! Besides the fact that he's not better, the numbers he does have are skewed because he played in Glanville's run and shoot.

Mike had to play in a system tailored more to the running game.

did andre do your team in sir?:heh::russ::jawalrus:

fukkouttahere with the rison hate for your andre rison hatred i offer you

Michael Irvin is 2nd most overrated WR in history next to Lynn Swann, so probably quite a few. If he didn't play for "America's team," he would never get in the Hall period much less be a 1st balloter.

Terrell Owens
Jerry Rice
Cris Carter
Randy Moss
Sterling Sharpe
Tim Brown
Larry Fitzgerald
Andre Johnson
Calvin Johnson
Steve Smith
Marvin Harrison
Isaac Bruce

Maybe a few more.

I forgot about Sterling Sharpe and Steve Smith..I'd have to add them to
my list....I didn't mention Jerry Rice because he's in a category by himself
Marvin Harrison
Isaac Bruce

Yeah Irvin had to play against defenses with 8 in the box tryin to stop Emmit. Tough job he had.:youngsabo:

Rison put up numbers in his rookie year before he got to Atl, Irvin was lookin like a bust his first few years until Emmit and Troy got there.

It's true. Michael Irvin would not ever get into the Hall if he didn't play for the Cowboys, and was the flashy, shyt-talking "playmaker" everyone knows and loves. Tim Brown and Cris Carter are still waiting to make it into the Hall. Irvin going 1st ballot and those two still waiting is an absolute travesty.

Cris Carter: 1101 catches, 13899 yards, 130 TDs

Tim Brown: 1204 catches, 14934 yards, 100 TDs

Michael Irvin: 750 catches, 11904 yards, 65 TDs

Dude only has 65 career TDs and goes 1st ballot...unbelievable. He never had more than 10 TDs in one season.

If Michael Irvin played for the Cardinals or the Bengals nobody would give a fukk about him. Isaac Bruce was having 100 catch, 1500 yard, 12 TD seasons on the low on the Rams with bums like Tony Banks throwing to him and he might not get in the Hall. He is criminally underrated. Jimmy Smith is another one.

Yeah, because his career was cut short due to injury. Im pretty sure being a major cog in 3 Super Bowl titles was a major factor as well. How many championships did Tim Brown and Chris Carter help bring to their respective teams? Its quite a few Steelers in the hall due to championships.

Michael Irvin is respected by all of his peers and coaches around the league. They know how great he was.

He didnt even go in 1st ballot.

Irvin wasn't 1st ballot, it took him 3 tries.

he didnt go in first ballot

and Irvin was a better WR than those players

on top of that, Irvin played almost 100 games less than those guys and wasnt the focal point of his team's offenses. You can say, "well that shows Irvin aint shyt," but Irvin played on the best team of the 1990s while those two played on mediocre squads most of their careers.

He was important, but he played for one of the most stacked teams in the history of the sport of football in a cutting edge Norv Turner offensive system with arguably the most accurate QB in the league at the time throwing to him. We measure WRs by how many rings they have?

Tim Brown was playing on that garbage ass stuck-in-the-70's Al Davis dinosaur offense and beasting opposite a bunch of track stars who can't catch or run routes with Jeff George and Jeff Hostetler throwing to him.

Cris Carter has OVER TWICE AS MANY career touchdowns than Irvin. He only played 5 more seasons.

Michael Irvin gets grossly overrated because of the team he played for, his personality, and his profile.
