Nah. A lot of skits these kids watch aren't PC in the slightest.

But they still pale in comparison to standup mainly due to the over-acting and being too predictable/derivative. I find that once social media skit makers find a certain style that goes viral, they'll stick with the same damn formula with most of their skits. Even the most repetitive standup comedians have more range in their jokes.

There's some gems though.
Yeah, a lot of them are worse than anything Pryor would come out. Just lacks variety

Bill Burr, Ali Siddiq, Andrew Schulz
Not Gen Z, I'm a millenial but I've seen Schulz while browsing online and like his work. Bill Burr decent too. Don't know Ali or that I'm aware of.

I came into this thread about to say that I keep seeing this fat black guy on tiktok who does standup and is pretty funny the way he be talking to the crowd but can't remember his name, and as i'm browsing thru i get to the last post which was yours and this video. Good thing you posted it. I had been seeing him pop up a lot lately and followed him recently cuz I enjoyed his work.

This goes to why I'm very choosy when it comes to comedy. I prefer comedians who have something to say, are witty and intellectual because I feel the best comedy comes from people who actually think intelligently. I hate too easy comedy, cliche comedy, etc.

Yeah it’s crazy to me. they laugh more from internet memes than standup jokes

I like memes too but standup is the ultimate form of comedy for me.

For us millennials memes was just the shytposting funny pics from websites in the early 2000s to kill time. Pass em around email or AOL instant messenger. Chapelle Show was king...and comic view was interesting to check out.

these internet sketch comedians are dumb. I'm a millennial....in living color and Chappelle show set the standard. Never really got into keye and pelle...

that Lilly Singh formula seems like is what these social media folks follow....and she was much much more attractive than funny in her prime anyways.
