Because they take everything literally and find ways to be offended by every fukking joke. Stand up has been regulated to sex/dating mishaps, kids stories that don’t include hitting or cussing at them, self deprecation while revealing a true social anxiety or depressive disorder, and bathroom/bodily function humor….shyts weak.
old head millennial here…I still love standup tho, it’s no where near its peak, but I have a broad sense of humor so I can fire up anyone of any walk of life whose good at the craft and laugh my ass off
