This is one shameful thread I didn't want to be a part of....OP tellin a bald face lie with a straight face and people cosigning it....the hell you mean "was" OP? Bone WAS bigger than Wutang without a shadow of a doubt and arguable still is,pretty sure they last group album sold more than Bones...Not the one they had to sell to a evil cac because they couldn't get fans to fund it,but the one before that....Lets not overstate how big they are in comparsion to Bone right now.

Only difference is them nikkas cater to hippity hop heads and back packers,and Bone Thugs don',its simple mathematics....Wu has a loyal cult following,but don't sleep on Bones loyal following....The only thing that seperates the two is that firstly one is from NY...SO they obviously get the benefit of the east coast media who was writing the history books for majority of hiphops existence....Lets just say theres a lot of innacuracies in that book that WILL be rewritten in due time.

and secondly,they appeal to the backpack crowd...Backpack crowd is strong not only on the internet,but theres a heavy demographic for that in every city and every country....So as loyal as Bone Thugs fans might be,you not gon find them concentrated in every city everywhere...It would make more sense to have Bone open in many places to give the backpackers who will actually come out to see nikkas who they want to see

This is wu tang's (and a lot of east coast nikkas ) advantage.
The east coast media dictates america and world view outside of it.

i'm talking about tv.... when's the last time you heard a random bone song in a movie/tv show/event... when's the last time another rapper brought up any member of bone... when's the last time you saw a movie and bone member appeared... when's the last time you heard the radio and they said a member of bone was coming up there... when's the last time they got some press... when's the last time someone did an article on any of them?


as a group... they sold more... like someone else said..... as a solo artist hammer did more than 99% of rappers... so did vanillla ice.... what does that have to do with their stamp on the game? who gets more respect and has more legend? rakim or hammer? krs or hammer? drake selling a lot.... he on the same level as rakim to anyone but sprite? dmx outsold jay... who got more legend and respect and is on another level??



you can't just say, "we talking about them as a group" and ignore that they dropped 5 plat and gold CLASSICS as soloists before they even did album number 2... now it's 2016 and rza scoring hollywood films, making 2 of his own, meth done at least 20-50 movies/tv shows, and they still have a name enough to command 2 milly for an album

Don't know one Bone stan, never heard them at parties, not even when I was listening to HH radios. Only time I ever heard a Bone song otherwise than when I was listening to the album was yeah Crossroads on MTV, that's it.
