somewhere between a pair of D cup tiddies
That Wu symbol is iconic, I had it on my truck and people either knew, seen it on other cars or asked.
The anticipation for Wu Forever was HUGE. That enhanced cd with the interactive Wu Mansion was :wow: status.
You play Wu at a party and girls ain't havin it unless she was a head. Girls recognize Bone.
Bone was obviously more pop friendly, they sang ffs :heh:
And a lot of people suck off the gov't, white trash, black trash, mexi fries. Not everyone sold drugs, ran guns, associated with Gambinos :pachaha:
I certainly can see the argument for both sides but most will have a bias towards who they prefer :yeshrug:

Yea, I don't see why Bone stans like @StillNotSoft bring up the fact that Bone sold more than Wu. Everybody should already know broads and non-hip hop fans will gravitate more towards Bone's music than they will music from some goons from Staten Island that was raw, didn't have hooks more often than not and consisted of lyrics that consisted of 5 percent ideology, selling crack, fvcking n!ggas up and martial arts.

Don't know why a harmonizing quartet music sold more than some dusted out, crack selling 5 percenters who rhymed raw lyrics over hardcore, unpolished beats, brehs.

There were dudes, like Freestyle Fellowship, that were harmonizing their raps way before Bone, but you can't tell a Bone stan that.

The furthest I can go back when it comes to harmonizing raps is The Fantastic Romantic 5. But Whodini was doing it on a maintream level in the mid 80's, none of that underground sh*t.....straight pop radio with it. Freestyle Fellowship are the cats who are said to have birthed Bones style.

Did they popularize it?

No, they didn't. Not on a mainstream level like Bone did. So I agree. But I've seen a lot of Bone stans acting like Bone were the first acts that rhymed fast and/or harmonized in their raps.

"Friends"..."Freaks Come Out At Night"...."One Love"

If u arent familiar with these songs then you arent in the know

No, they didn't. Not on a mainstream level like Bone did.

:comeon:

Whodini was mainstream homie. 2nd and 3rd albums both went platinum during a time when rap wasn't going platinum like that and they both had hit songs that are popular till this day.

Good point :ehh:

So Bone wasn't even the first to do the harmonizing rap thing on a large mainstream level.

And Whodini going platinum when hip hop was still in it's earlier stages also shows that more melodic, sing-songy type rap is more palatable to the average listener.

Now u changing the subject.

But yeah like I was saying...Fantastic Romantic 5 was popular for mixing the harmonizing with the raps....I cant find much out ther right now but there is the classic Wild Style scene

@ 0:31 and 3:41 you can see where Whodini got their influence

I said it years ago way before this thread existed that Bone were the Whodini of the 90's.....
