If he suck but you have a +/- when you was on the court doesn't that mean your teammates was winning despite your fukkery?

Do nerds sit at computers and think of new stats to make in order to justify their jobs? .

Then people will use these bullshyt analytics to reaffirm their bullshyt statements and assumptions.

It's best use is for analyzing line ups over a long sample size.

Obviously for any stat the larger sample you have the better.


The best +/- stat out there is the Real Adjusted Plus Minus. That accounts for who is on the court with the player and attempts to isolate the players contributions.

+/- is just obvious stat. When you on the floor, no matter who is on the floor with you, how well does your team do with you out there
