Alright here are some thoughts on yesterday's game
Jimmy. Played well, was kinda coddled by the gameplan, took a while to even throw the ball more than 5 yards past the LoS. Best throws were to Yuk in the end zone and the dart to Kittle. Throw on the run to Taylor was nearly a disaster and that pass to juice was really bad tho.
They need to at least try some shots downfield but they also need to win. Can't coddle him every time like that tho. Cautiously optimistic tho. Seems over the injury and winning always helps confidence.
Oline was damn near perfect in pass pro. Part of it was gameplan, but Brunskill almost dominated Donald. Run blocking was just OK.
WRs were decent, kb dropping the passes was not good. Deebo is a grown ass man.
Kittle did his damage, but dropped some passes and also missed blocks. Gotta do better than that after getting that money.
Rbs. Mostert runs like a beast, but also needs to know to take a hit. Dude never had a full workload and if he keeps running violently like that hes not exactly Marshawn built. Jet was weak. Hasty cuts look explosive.
Dline was barely OK. They generated some pressure in first half, then no pressure in Second half. Almost paid for it, Goff threw some dimes deep but kupp and woods couldn't come up with catches.
Armstead doesn't look good at end without Ford Buckner or Bosa. Kinlaw you can see flashes but pass rush wise not generating much. Dion Jordans bum ass gets a shot out for blocking the PAT
Linebackers were very solid. Somehow Al shaair was not visible,so that's good. Honesty we might be better without Kwon out there.
Dbs were good, I'm not gonna say great because Moseley, Tartt, Taylor and Ward did blow some coverages. Kupp was playing for us yesterday and dropped a td pass and lost a perfectly placed deep ball. Verrett is by far the best DB on this team not named Sherm skill wise. Still not sold on tartt/ward combo for the future.
Coaching was excellent on both sides. Kyle had a perfect plan, aside from some three and outs in the second half. Saleh is doing his best considering all the injuries we have.
