Being in NYC Metro I caught a lot of Jets games, Sam is doing what he can, his receivers are god awful, they couldn't catch a cold in 20 degree weather in flu season.

Sam is trash tho. Ive watched him a lot at USC and never got the hype. Hes a turnover machine. He has some arm talent and whatnot, but I never expected him to be an actual good NFL QB

I think its a little of column A and a little of column B. Sam has real talent but he still has to be developed this is something the Jets have shown zero propensity for, on the flip side Joe Douglas should have been much more aggressive at addressing the WR position. He should have picked 2 more receivers in the main draft and took more fliers in UDFA. Plus Joe Douglas is cleaning up 2 past GMs messes while trying to build up the team, and Adam Gase isn't helping things either. That is just an organizational mess out there.

someone like Goff, and maybe Im biased because Im a Cal fan, I could see him becoming an nfl starter. Now you can argue Goff has a very good OC, great OL and good WRs and has had great run game, but he made a lot less of shytty reads in college than Sam. Air raid vs pro is obviously easier, but Sam is all arm and very little of defense reading. His big time throws are extremely rare. And his picks were always head-scratchers.

Dan Quinn is going to get other HC job interviews, imo. I think Gase is gone after this season, and Dan Quinn would be an upgrade, though it may also make sense to simply promote Greg Williams.
