You the one tagged me talking shyt but im the emotional one, cac?

You sure about that? Your lust for LeBum got you in here disrespecting legends you never even watched play because you didn’t even watch ball until you jumped on LeLosers nuts.

And I brought him up because i know you’re the same cac dikkrider in the Laker threads and you only a Laker fan because your daddy came there... and was still a loser

I didn't really start watching til 95' but you just felt like he was on different level than anybody and made alot of my kids who were all about football in my hood want to start playing basketball....

Them NBA on NBC games were special. This intro will give you feel for just how head and shoulders he was over the rest of the league

It was like watching Curry now when he's hot except with dunks and unbelievable layups and crazy d

Watching Curry in his element is the closest thing I've seen that gives me the idea that I'm watching something other worldly. Like fr MJ was above the game, I don't compare nobody with him. it wasn't just what he did but how he did it. pure artistry :yeshrug:

Then this nikka talking about people getting bailed out in games:mjlol:

2 of his trash ass rings is because he got bailed out. Or it would’ve been 8 finals losses with superteams:picard:
when did any elite player shoot 6-24 in the biggest game of their life,,,he was literaly shooting the lakers out of a title

replace kobe with a rubbermaid garbage can with wheels and the lakers win easily

shyt was crazy. I remeber bein a lil nikka, not even understanding hoop like that. I caught that shyt on a fluke here and there. I didn't even know shyt about hoop but U can tell bruh was just operating on a whole nother tier. He really didn't have to have a name and number on his jersey, you could just tell who he was by the way he moved on TV. He was just more energetic, than everyone else and, he was swift af. The moves looked hella simple, but he did that shyt so smoothly, his movements just flowed together flawlessly. You couldn't tell the exact moment when he was just gonna rip thru or spin on somebody. He didn't have that "wiggle" or slight break in between his movements like everybody else.

It was amazing because if you had cable in the late 80s, early 90s you had WGN Superstation that showed ALL his games because WGN was also the local Chicago station that had all the rights to Bulls games with Johnny “Red” Kerr
I was able to watch the Tuesday game verses the Bucks living in rural NC and then after the game catch up on local Chicago news and weather:mjlol:
Having that access to him was big for a little kid in NC

It was wild. Stopped playing baseball and just completely focused on playing basketball after watching him. Watching him dunk from the free throw line and then going to the court the next day had me like :dwillhuh:

When you're a kid it looks like he jumped a mile away.

When he first retired I thought he was old (in a kids mind) but when he came back and won 3 more I legit thought he could play forever and nobody could stop him.

well his rookie year he was more of a legend that lived in newspaper articles & stat lines. because you didn't see mike on TV year one. how was the league to know beforehand that he would be the most aesthetically pleasing athlete in maybe all of sports history? only nikkas that even come close are deion the gawd, barry bonds, bo jackson, muhammad ali, and barry sanders....

so anyway man, nba on cbs with brent musburger was dominated by lakers, celtics, sixers, nuggets & pistons. but EVERYBODY was talking about the rookie out of north carolina who could literally fly through the air. asking magic, kareem and bird what tbey thought about him in interviews. and they actually gave him props like he's special. pa dukes used to watch nbc news with sue simmons (low key he had a crush on sis) and they started showing these grainy jordan highlights on a local new york broadcast!! i lived for them shyts like fukk bill cartwright and the knicks man what's good with michael jordan??

when his nba-banned kicks dropped my dad and me went downtown brooklyn and copped day one. i got the red and black joints and he rocked with the home whites. little nerd nikka with what's happening roger thomas glasses who low key looked like a friendly smooth faced lesbian named patrice (don't laugh at me brehs) was all of a sudden mad popular with girls off the strength of those kicks b. rookie nikka yet had the hottest shoes in the streets. retail price for jordan ones? $63.99 which at the time was like today's $300.00. we were not rich man but dad knew what jordan meant to me, word

broke his foot sophomore year and missed damn near the whole season until he screamed on reinsdorf. accused him of trying to tank for draft picks instead of competing when they had a legit shot at the playoffs. willed them to the post season and of course put 63 on the celtics in a losing effort. the nightmare from french lick indiana called him god in basketball shoes. a second year player b and larry was already a champ saying this. let that sink in for a minute

yall already know the rest so i won't hold you. only time i low key hated on his airness was when he beat us in '91 for his first. everybody hopped on his dikk in the hood & started clowning me because everybody hates purple & gold excellence SMH

listen man i ain't old enough to have seen 60's and 70's dudes. but kobe, bron, iverson, whoever... none of them can touch him. one of my young hittas gon tell me he was overrated because he couldn't shoot threes. stop it man. the goat would easily average between 39 to 42 points on 54 percent shooting in today's league. and in a euro-lite three intensive modern day game he would give nikkas that work from behind the arc too. facts

I never got a chance to watch Michael play when I was a kid and wondered what it was like from everyone that saw all that shyt happen when he was in his prime.

Did everyone know he was the greatest while he was ballin out, or did he become the GOAT by the time he announced his last retirement year ?

As a Knicks fan, it was like watching movie you already know the ending too.

His aura when he walked on the court was incredible. Bird was calling him God when Bird was winning 3 MVPs in a row.
