What would Tony Romo have to do to make the HOF?

he just needs to have another 2-3 years like he's been having. His numbers will be too good to keeep him out.

I dont recall Archie Manning ever winning anything, so the whole ring argument is pointless

His numbers will be indicative of the era.

Matthew Stafford is going to surpass many all-time greats in numbers too

Nick Foles holds the record for TD tosses in a game.

which QBs? He has good stats but hasn't really done anything else.

I do think it's funny though how some folk (LE) bash him for not winning games in the playoffs as if his team didn't crumble in several of those games. Football is the ultimate team sport, yet folk keep bringing up QB records like they're pitchers or something.

Marino,Moon,Tarkenton,Fouts never won rings and they're in the hof.

It's never been a requirement

All those QBs have won games in the playoffs. Marino and Fouts were top QBs at one point. Romo has never been that. So yea, he needs to do more to be on par with those guys. Whether it's fair or not, folk will remember Romo as a choker. He's gotta start winning in the playoffs to erase that stigma.

statistics don't really matter in his case because he's playing in an era where proper defense is almost impossible to play. QB numbers since 2003 escalated significantly, especially after the golden boy Peyton Manning was getting roughed up in the playoffs by the Pats those years. Romo is lucky in that his career started after the League neutered defenses.

It's like saying Brady Anderson should be in the MLB HOF because he hit 50 HRs. Like Romo, he was a product of his era.
