You think an event like that would be a good or bad thing?

Nah you have a point..one of the first URL events had them all in a room and those were fire...removes the riff-raff...you got battlers out here with multiple losses on their record,fake retiring..thinking their top-=tier...

relegate that to proving grounds or something like that for new mcs. one of the best things in battle rap is the time and preparation they take to craft their rounds. you take that away and it'd really be wack.

What sets guys like Lux, Mook, Hollow, Surf, etc. apart at this point is their ability to craft full battles around their opponents. I'm not trying to see our best battlers out here spitting generic shyt.

I mean, any of them could do this... that's why they're top tiers. I'm just saying what they ACTUALLY do is harder and more impressive. Crafting specific rounds around one opponent is more difficult than just spitting a bunch of random bars, no matter how great those bars are. A lot of these guys, particularly many of the punchline cats, have rounds that sound more like cypher freestyles than battle bars (I'm looking at you Daylyt).

Knaw I don't mean mixtape random bars.. I mean actually freestyling, Hollow could get personal within the freestyle.. I don't take it away from modern battle rappers that can't freestyle, but the ability to well is a great plus
