I went to community college for 3 years. Had to do an extra year because I kept messing up, but it was for the better since i learned more and bettered myself. Anyway cc is cool. Just make sure to involve yourself. For me I was in classes where Id meet some cool ass people. Had art with some cool people, took german and went fencing with my professor from germany and then to berlin with our class. Had engineering sketching. Made it up to calc with no intention. I stayed posted up in the math tutoring room and most people were mad cool. My history class was mad cool too. Smoked weed on our 10 min break and would come back to class smelling like loud lol. Just socialize man
class discussions at CC were also way more fun and interesting than at University.

but yeah, take advantage of tutoring if you need to

It's not where you start, but it's where you finish.

Unless you have a fully paid scholarship to a university. Then the smartest move is to go to a community college and take your core classes for a fraction of the price you would pay at a university. Transfer to a university after completing all of your core classes.

I agree with the poster that said community college students are more welcoming. But that also depends on the university.

In my experience, U Memphis students were way more welcoming than UNT students.

:stopitslime: Do y'all watch the TV sitcom "Community"? Besides the obvious crazy stuff they do on that show, It's not to far off from that show.

community college is the same everywhere.

you just go to class and go home. way different than highschool

shyt was ill when i could leave to the restroom without asking for teachers permission. or you can leave class and go home whenever you want.

Meh, I would say Community College is like High School with freedom & without the restriction of High School AND without the social/peer pressure of High School & Middle School. Community College is DEFINITELY a lot more chill & a breath of fresh air compared to High School.

Which DCCCD did you go to?

What them refund checks be looking like compared to 4 year universities tho :mjpls:

You're actually winning a whole lot more when it comes to community college.

Federal grants is enough to pay a semester. Where as you need federal grants + student loans to pay for a semester at a university.

Lets do the math.

It cost me no more than $300 a semester at a community college. I received $2,000 of federal grant money.

$2,000 - $300 = $1,700 in my pocket of free money.:blessed::banderas:
