Wale made me a fan with the mixtape before his debut Back To The Feature where every track has a feature onn it and it's like 20 dope tracks with a lot of different sounds. Add the Mixtape about nothing and More about nothing and you can understand the appeal. I haven't checked for him as hard since the MMG affiliation. He's kind of losing his original spark to me. Am I hating?

When I hear dudes music I immediately break out the Chapelle/Prince "this bores me".

That being said, I think he's got potential to break down at any minute and go off on a misinformed but entertaining rant. Dude's got insanely high "my twitter was hacked" potential.

How can you not see his appeal after listening to a song like this? (sorry about the quality, best i could find on youtube :manny:)

And for the record, Attention Defecit was criminally slept on

It's ridiculous that rappers need an "appeal" now.

How about he's just really really really good at rapping?

Wale can flat out RAP on an elite level.

Sorry he doesn't wear leather pants, or do a jiggaboo dance that trends on youtube.

Different artists appeal to different people, that's the beauty of it.
How fun would the game be if everyone fukked with the same rappers? We would have like 5 releases every year, cause their would be no market for diversity.

He is inspiration for revenue grab toy wack nikkas who really can not rap.
Who see him and think they can get where he got.
by faking the same jacks and having the same wack ass skillset.
Similar to the evolution of every inspired wack toy sellout Culture thief ass nikka that was a mase and Diddy fan.

don't know if your serious :leostare:

Here's some songs from his last album.

WALE - DC Or Nothing ( Ambition Album ) - YouTube

Don't Hold Your Applause-Wale (Ambition) - YouTube

Wale-Miami Nights (Ambition) - YouTube

Honestly I haven't really checked out his other stuff I skimmed a few of his tapes an didn't really hear music like the type that's on his MMG debut. Minus the spoken word I think Wale has potential to drop a 5 star album.

Link to Ambition in profile if you or anyone else is curious:mjpls:

That album had no replay value for me.

the appeal of Wale is the very essence of the appeal of rap.

If you dont at least like some of his lyricism/word play, then you don't like hip-hop.

here is the thing, a large part of his female audience doesn't get any of the sports, sneaker/clothing references that he drops...

females who don't even like sports, talking bout they love Wale:rudy:...when this dude is dropping a sports reference literally every other bar.

He can rhyme his ass off, that's the appeal.

Not everybody can have "gimmicks" and shyt.

if you listened to his mixtapes, his whole gimmick was that he could rap.... he was so overly concerned with proving he could rap, that he didn't care about shyt else.

he didn't get on this "spoken word, rapping to my black queens" shyt til AD flopped.

Wale is dope. Lyrically hes the best in MMG and hes got a very unique flow. I mean dude sounds like NOBODY, so its refreshing to listen to him. He'll have a couple of classic albums by the time his career ends
