Honestly I haven't really checked out his other stuff I skimmed a few of his tapes an didn't really hear music like the type that's on his MMG debut. Minus the spoken word I think Wale has potential to drop a 5 star album.

I'm from Philly and I first got into Wale right before Mixtape About Nothing Dropped with 100 Miles and Running. Back tracked to Paint a Picture and Hate It Or Love it. I liked all the go go songs and the camp lo influence. I dug all of his music up until his debut album. These days I don't even know what his appeal is.

Yeah, I'm from St. Louis and was bumpin' 100 Miles & Running for an entire summer. I only knew of him because I was on a forum and this rapper from DC was on there. That was back when Wale was just known primarily for running with Mark Ronson and having a bunch of kicks.

I won't lie, I haven't really listened to his last album. He's a good rapper, but I'll stick to 100 Miles & Running/Mixtape About Nothing when it comes to Wale in my iTunes.

here is the thing, a large part of his female audience doesn't get any of the sports, sneaker/clothing references that he drops...

females who don't even like sports, talking bout they love Wale...when this dude is dropping a sports reference literally every other bar.



if you listened to his mixtapes, his whole gimmick was that he could rap.... he was so overly concerned with proving he could rap, that he didn't care about shyt else.

he didn't get on this "spoken word, rapping to my black queens" shyt til AD flopped.

He can rap but this elite level talk is alittle much . He's not for me he's like a uninteresting drake . Which brings me to why is he allowed to simp but not drake? Only song I like is ambition and one other I'm forgetting .

When he was in his More About Nothing stage...when he trying to keep his core fans entertained, that's when he was at his best. Ambition is a step up from his debut, but it still didn't have the hunger for the game.

Don't over complicate Wale though. He's just a solid lyricist who was misguided in his first project, got dropped, then he had to take the back door in with MMG and became a solid BET rapper
