A lot of these dudes is tellin duck tales, im an engineer for the power company and peole swear im makin 100k plus but im not. I make really good money I may be at 100k in about 10 years but thats not realistic in 99% of job fields. Then you have to factor in the cost of living on a sliding scale because the more you make, the more you have in expenses. I came out of school making 38 gs and now I make close to 70, but since im in a higher tax bracket, my take home pay is maybe 1100 a month more than when I made 38. Difference is my job is way easier and more flexible

You must not have read my post becauseI didnt say that at all. I said its hard to do, nobody can deny that because if it was easy, then we wouldnt be discussing it. I was just using myself as a reference. The fact that I'm in a good field where 100k is attainable it just takes a while and not realistic in most cases.

So realistically how many people make that much? Point im making is everybody online got stacks to blow but banks and employment data and the overall economy states otherwise. You may make over 100k but in reality less than 5% of the nation makes that much. So all im saying is u may make bank but you're the exception rather than the norm.

and I know numerous people who work as contractors for companies in your state that make 6figures

Alabama is huge for IT/Govt/Defense companies

Trust me I know that. I said that to support the fact that everybody that claims to be making so much money arent being truthful, plus I didnt say I couldn't do it I ppsted earlier that in my field it could take 10 years or so. Not saying it cant be done, but there is a difference in saying you make 100 grand and actually making 100 grand. I dont doubt some people on here do, but I doubt everybody thst said they do actually make that much

my pops was making 100k+ in his mid 30s without a college degree
my uncle was clockin 80k+ in his 20s without a college degree
my moms clocked 90k+ in her late 30s without a college degree

But like others have said, it's not all it's cracked up to be. You have to factor that 100k in with all of your expenses; mortgage, utilities, education, home improvements, food etc etc. I come from a family of hustlers so I expect to see those numbers in my 20s, considering I have a way better foundation than most of my successful fam

My dad made 6 figures throughout most of the 90's but he has not made that type of money for the last 15 yrs or so. He owns his own business. On the other hand my mom, who is a nurse has wokred steadily since the 80s.

My point is that just because you're a hustler that has good years here and there, don't think you are making more than the working stiff who gets a steady paycheck every damn year.

I'm not sure of your relatives situations but I am assuming since you pointed out that they are not professionals.
