I didnt see em a lot thus year, but I heard Cuban in a couple interviews and he didn't seem too care. I always liked how much the gAmes meant too him, like it would to the avg. fan if they were an owner. Does Dirk have much left, can they get Paul or Coward, does mayo stay

Mayo's gone.

Mavs = on the treadmill.

You think Collison is gone too?

I'd say they have just as good a shot as any to sign Dwight, but CP3, idk if they can pull that off.

You know Cuban is gonna try to make some moves, probably gonna have to replace 3 starters....I think depending on who they get, probably 6 seed at best.

Tough spot they probably should rebuild but they cant with Dirk and have to ride out his last few years and try to get him soem help which will keep thme mediocre

My guess is they overpay some bums like Ellis or Jennings

They will probably get a second tier free agent or two this offseason to help them get back in the playoff race. But they wont get Paul or Howard and I believe that are finished for the forseeable future as being contenders. Eventually we could see Dirk traded to a contender or him requesting a trade but I think that is a long shot at best.

Unfortunately, this. Cap room alone won't make Howard (:snoop: at the thought) and CP3 come down to Dallas. I don't want it, but I'm prepared for the likes of Brandon Jennings and Kevin Martin to suit up for us next year. Cuban really fukked up when he blew up the team without a plan going forward. All of that said, all we need is 6-8 competent guys around Dirk and Coach Carlisle will motivate them to an 8th seed.

The plan is to keep signing scrubs to 1 year deals until we land a "big fish" with an overloaded contract. :snoop:

Mark had a plan but it was dumb. He should have blown it up with Dirk as well. Get rid of everybody and become a scrub team but he wants to make the best for Dirk's career.

I hope if Atlanta misses on Howard and CP3 that we just sign and trade Smith to Brooklyn for Hump and picks. We take scrubs on an one year deal like Bargs and cut him.

Just have a lineup of

Mack
Jenkins
Scrub
Horford
rookie prospect

That should get us 25-30 wins and somewhere in the range of 3-7 and if Horford is out that should get us at the most 20 wins which is in great position to get a franchise talent in this draft. We should trade everyone for upcoming picks.

That's how you build a team. You either get a superstars to play with a star like Horford who can be a superstar or you blow it up. No middle ground when it comes to building a NBA team. This isn't the NFL.

Mark got a regressing vet former superstar PF and putting him around vets. Just stupid I say.

MArk Cuban got too big headed for his own good.

He could've kept that championship team together for 1 more year, Tyson Chandler wanted to stay in Dallas....but Cuban thought he was a genius and planning for the future thinking they could land D-Will or Dwight. He put all his eggs in one basket and got burned.

On another note, I dont think Cuban cares much anymore after the title. Wouldnt be surprised if he sold the team in a couple years

The NBA is hard. It's like Cuban signed Rodman and built up the teams name in Dallas. Had a exciting team around Finley, Dirk, and Nash. Try to built a contender and it finally worked out when they got favorable match-ups. Now it's time to hit the reset button and he is getting scared. I am sure they will make a run for CP3 and Dwight but they only have so much money, would have a team full of NBDL players and Dirk is old and is getting worse each year.

It's about that time Mark. :damn:
