Whats bad about touring? :gucci:

Getting paid 6-8 figures to travel with first class flights and hotels paid for as well?
Non stop travel, for most of these guys by bus, away from home and family, routine is fukked up, potential logistic issues with promoters.

Vince Staples was talking bout touring means he's usually eating like shyt, can't get workouts in like he wants to.

Let’s not kid ourselves. He ain’t filling up venues 10-15 thousand nightly. He may able to 1500-3000 k solo.

He didn’t mind touring when he opened for J.Cole. If the check is right everyone will tour.

Touring is essential for most artists. Because even when you fall off musically and the new rappers take your spot. You can still hit the road and fill up clubs and bars.

And another thing most of the new guys can’t rock a live set. Very few are as good as Busta, The Roots.

Audience and market expansion.

But 21 doesn't make tour music so this isn't surprising from his perspective. Most artist tour to put their hands on cash between albums, so it has a lot to do with an artist's financial situation as well. A lot of people have to get paid up front before the artist when it comes to touring.

He is right…fukk traveling like this. shyt gotta be stressful as hell

you do it once every two years unless you are curren$y or griiselda or someone that always has music dropping. and then its ony for like two months. seems better than a 9-5 :skip:

and even that seems better than studio life. studio seems boring as hell for everyday life (depending on what stage you are in life i guess) and i only been in there a few times

I thought tours were way longer than that especially when they got shows outside the country

Then again I guess it depends on how poppin the artist is

And yea they’d make more in those 2-3 months than they would at any 9-5

No clue why artists be in the studio so much. You technically only gotta be there to record. Why dudes be paying for all day sessions just to sit around thinking of something when they could be doing that on their own time is beyond me :dwillhuh:

:mjlol:

Its called honing your craft and building a catalogue you can build inspiration from or dig into when you need songs/verses. Not to mention feature verses.

You're not going to see much success by only being in the studio when its time to release a project.

touring isn’t really like that . They do the show and hop back on the bus . Arrive to the next city do the show and get back on the bus . And they might get a day off or two when they reach major Cities like Miami , Vegas , La but they not sleeping in a hotel room in Wisconsin. Hotels cut into the profit margin because it’s not just the artist . It’s crew , team and entourage, tech and etc

People in here making it seem like touring is something glamorous don't seem to know what touring is really like for a music artist.

Also if you look at damn near any artist and the top 5 times they been in trouble...one of those top 5 moments is going to be when they were on tour...
