I grew up in Newark and I lived in Baltimore for two years. There are definitely parts of both of those cities you need to avoid unless you’re from there but the only place I’ve ever really felt uneasy was Minnesota Ave or Alabama Ave SE DC back in like 07. Them DC cats pulled an ak out on me and two of my friends on some mistaken identity shyt. By the grace of God we made it out of there.

44 bricks...acre shaker
montlake ...the peckerwoods there are june n ward cleaver esque .. but .at night ...here comes the cucks by the bus load...

cannot raise any kids amongst the flim flam there... my daughter and her mom stayed in madison park.. and she said its a cesspool for the rich at night... then by the morning u see all the whores and whoremongers acting like nothing happen

i told em come down to point ruston where my spot is... they can stay there.. hell i had a whole entire floor to myself for yrs.. i could literally leave the doors open and have my music blasting no complaints ...

and the only thing u had to worry about is the traffic goin towards the zoo near the old tunnel..and a stray seal ..deers and mountain lion ...

now that shyt built up.. got movies and everything over there... wasnt none of that shyt over there ..except it was like 2 restaurants.. dukes and the lobster shop.. and a stand that serve some of everything when it got warmer

and like 2-3 condos .....that was it.. slowly but showly they were building.. they took that tunnel away...

gary indiane in the 1980s

Gary hands down
Juarez before the Drug War popped off in '06, there's just this real unease, haunted feeling about the place

Delaney Projects - Gary, IN

Altgeld Gardens - Chicago

I passed through Gary, Indiana once, stopped for gas. Didn't seem like my type of place.

Stockton was sketchy, only place I've been

Every time I hear Gary, I think of this skit.
:russ:
Comments say they get busy in Gary though.

Cleveland Ohio specifically between woodland and central ave on E. 55th, if you know.. you know. certain spots in East Cleveland and spots off buckeye, spots off kinsman. i was not in danger cuz i was with people, but you dont go to them spots if u unfamiliar.

I been driving through certain spots in Detroit, and shyt do look crazy AF.

:damn: i drove through that spot. shyt was real different
This is the correct answer, and like @reserved_one I've been to East St. Louis, those gas stations there looked crazy with pumps missing...but East Cleveland is a whole nother level:snoop: @shutterguy these brehs have no idea..

Whole apartment complexes empty, whole blocks with trash in the streets, mattresses, tires, etc, stop lights missing, CRATERS in the streets all over the city.

In the 90’s: Techwood homes, Eastlake meadows, Capitol homes, University homes.

A small city in Khost called Yaqubi, and another town called Tani.

Late 90’s Baltimore

It depends on how you define scary. There's scary and there's just sad. For example the ghettos in the third world countries are sad. Just hungry kids working and looking for food. People diving into trash to find something to eat. In those circumstances anything is possible and you can become a lick very quickly. In the states there's always the chance of getting gunned down for mistaken identity while in the hood. But at least most folks aren't going hungry. It's just motherfukkers with no hope wilding and into gang violence or robbery just for the sake.

But the scariest hoods are the ones that are abandoned and full of junkies that look like zombies. The Midwest and east coast is full of those, starting from St Louis, to Chicago and Detroit. Just straight horror shows. Most major cities have certain areas in the city where you find the junkies and homeless. They can be very unpredictable and thus the most scariest for myself.
