Still tripping the thread turned into the Cowboys o line and Zeke :ohhh:, like neither had nothing to do with Gurley balling out last year :jbhmm:
It shouldn't but cats are out here acting like the Cowboys don't have three first round picks on their own line and four first round talents when healthy. Ajayi is averaging more yards per carry with a worse line. Zeke is dope but to be ignorant about that is insane and this ridiculous shyt about RBs being the formula is hilarious. The Pats started throwing the ball in the SB because they couldn't run. Last year the Panthers couldn't. It's easier to shut down the running game than the passing game and elite teams will. An all pro dB comes before an all pro RB. A RB hasn't been the best player or biggest difference maker on a SB winning team in nearly a decade. Secondary players have been one of the top two factors for basically every SB winner since that time with the Giants being an exception (however a play the secondary did not make lead to their victory both times).

there are only 8 1st-round rookies rated higher than Zeke so far (Wentz, Bosa, Conklin, Tunsil, Karl joseph, taylor decker, Keanu Neal, Ryan Kelly)

4/8 are offensive lineman, so out of the elgible 1st round talents, only 4 are rated higher (Bosa, Went, Joseph, Neal)

Bosa was drafted at #3, Went went #2, and Neal and Joseph went in the teens

If you look at it like that, The Cowboys got a decent return on their investment

here's what they said about Zeke

4. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys (Ohio State)
Snaps: 291

Overall grade: 75.9

Through seven weeks of the season, Ezekiel Elliott leads the league in rushing (703 yards), but much of the heavy lifting has been done by the Dallas offensive line. Only five backs have a smaller percentage of their rushing yards come after contact, and Elliott has broken only 11 tackles. He has played well, but not nearly as well as the box-score stats suggest.

the only argument you can make for the #4 is trading back, or selecting Ramsey or Deforest Buckner (both have similar grades to Zeke)

Because of the emergence of Claiborne, we might not need Ramsey as much but it would have been decent insurance. Buckner would fit on our line, and fill a need. With that said, Zeke seems to have been the most impactful fit for this team
Decker being rated higher than Zeke? @Regular_P :jbhmm:

Breh this is insane :snoop:

Youre leaving out the fact that most of the great running backs are on bad teams :snoop:

Youre also coveniently leaving out Marshawn two years ago. Yes they didnt win, but if Pete didnt go braindead and hand him the ball at the fukkin one yard line, Marshawn wins MVP

Dallas has the best record in the NFL right now with an elite RB and an average defense. If you want to argue that we will get to the playoffs and lose because the defense isnt good enough (see 2014) then I will probably agree with you, but im not going to be ignorant to the fact that we will probably get there because of our elite back.

Yea, give the credit where its due. To the RB for creating/generating yards after contact and making the most of the opportunities the OL creates.

This shyt is unheard of. Same offensive line we ran behind for a 4-12 record and now they're the only reason we've had success. Maybe Dak and Zeke are just special :ld:
Thing is I'm not saying they are bad. Y'all got too good players. But I'm not Gonna act like y'all drafted AP and Tom Brady

Demarco is a good player and its behind that titans line. Specifically behind the dallas line henry would be unstoppable because he'd be able to pick up a head of steam. Henry isnt good when he's hit early. If hes not hit early good luck tackling him. Bruh i saw a washed DMac get 1000 yards behind that line with no qb help at all. Zeke is nice but lets give credit where its due. That oline is special. By far the biggest reason for the success of Dak and Elliott
And that's the problem. Zeke is getting hit early and still churns out 6-8 yard gains making 2nd and short and 3rd and short or 3rd and managable. That is one of the main reasons why I didn't care to have Henry and it's another reason why I didn't care to have McFadden come back. He did not break tackles, he did not finish drives, and he is not as good a pass protector as Zeke (this alone separated Zeke from the 2016 RB Class IMO).

As far as Gurley, I will also say it's the oline and nobody is scared of Case Keenum. The fact they have 3 wins already is kind of unbelievable.
