mainly Windows Phone and Surface. You could possibly lump Windows 8 in there too. The first two however are never gonna take off. the Surface Pro cost too damn much for a tablet. Surface RT is a joke and they've been pushing Windows Phone for ages and the market just isn't responding to it.
i get that the company invested in these products but sometimes you just gotta cut your losses and move on. another product Bing. don't they get that people are just cool with Google. some of us use Yahoo for news / sports and Yahoo has basically acknowledged this and turned their homepage into a huge news portal.
i don't know it just seems as a company you should do what works and abandon what doesn't. perhaps its time to bring the start button and menu back to Windows 8 or devise a way to make Windows 8.1 upgrade with marginal cost or free from Windows 7 just to get people to embrace it.
is this stuff Balmer's fault?
