Come on bruh I'm sure if black people had just kept their discomfort to themselves and stayed quiet white people would have eventually came around to see the error in their ways. That or the free market.

I cant even believe it. The illogical leaps based on pure fantasy in this thread has been

Private people outraging is their fukking right.Who knew advocating for a a free open society where people can speak their mind and outrage freely was "authoritarian"?
The whole idea of a "politically correct" society is counter to the idea of a free and open society. You only advocate free speech when it fits your narrative of "decency". You seek to silence any other position.
You dont get it.
Read some fukking plato or descartes. honestly, I don't even care so much that she wrote that. It's more so that kids and younger ppl are being taught that they need to be protected from being offended.
and the example you gave is just another example of PC going full retard.
Again, this isn't about allowing or making hate speech acceptable. it's about not being offended by everything and crying about it rather than actually doing something about it(like adults SHOULD do)
until it infringes on my rights......Private people outraging is their fukking right.
You dont get it.
Part of having a free and open society is the freedom to outrage without involving state intervention
Read some fukking plato or descartes.
If people want to bytch and moan thats freedom too

Its not like they can even hide their racism well to necessitate a need for it to be out in the open. The mask always slips every now and thenLook at the real nikkas defending a white racists rights to say "n1gger" to their faces. You ain't gon do a goddamn thing if some prick says some slick shyt to your face. You're Black living in America.
The moment you throw a fist you catch a charge. Open racism
what kind of c00n shyt is that.
The state was just a reflection of the populace. It's like when George Wallace complained that he had been "out ******ed" because he ran against a candidate that was outright racist. Even that President of Ole Miss who had decided to let James Meredith attend the school but realized it was unpopular and then turned around on his earlier decision. The public officials are the visible ones but they had been enabled by a culture that found it acceptable to treat black as lower class citizens, blaming the elites and state is a way of covering up the fact that the general population largely agreed with their actions. And not holding people responsible for irresponsible rhetoric is in effect enabling the state at large, especially in a pseudo democratic political system
Jim Crow happened because the populace was complicit
until it infringes on my rights......
I don't care if someone expresses how they feel, I have a problem when someone tells someone else they can't say something because they are afraid that they will be offended by it.People have a right to be offended by whatever and they have the right to express that. That expression in and of itself is not an attempt to "restrict" other people's expression and "talk" often comes before actual action. The revolution didn't start with colonists just bussin guns at redcoats. They had very public discussions about how they felt they were being mistreated by England. This brought light to the issues and encouraged others to join up with their cause. Complaint is a vital part of social protest and damn necessary to initiate social change.
It's fascinating that people don't get this.![]()
The anti-pc culture seeks to control language and ideas they don't agree with by painting protest as unAmerican or anti free speech.
Regular, everyday people can protest offensive speech. If the right is going to gain any ground they are going to have to learn how to deal and really engage people instead of trying to silence those they offend.
In a country where black people were considered less than human under the Constitution it's laughable to suggest that categorizing "too many things as racist" is a serious problem.
Apparently calling Trump racist makes us unable to "analyze or engage" with him.I suppose ignoring his racism will allow us better communication with him and his fellow white supremacists.
The fallacy here is the idea that Trump and his supporters want to "engage" especially on anything race related. They don't.
