Damn, yall wont be satisified till we have another rapper get killed behind this hardcore shyt, huh :stopitslime:

Maybe the labels saw that gangsta rap was bad for business and steered the genre into a less dangerous direction

And then yall same motherfukkers gon wave white flags and shout increase the peace when the shyt gets too real.

People don't know wtf they want anymore and it shows

People are being too simple minded about this topic, their isnt a rapper who is responsible. Hip hop is a reflection of society. People acted shocked when you got asap wearing dresses but look at how kids are raised now. Gays are being pushed onto people, little boys are allowed to wear dresses..rap is soft because people are soft now.

It is funny that the two biggest stars in rap are getting openly dissed by R&B singers...

:pachaha:

But being "soft" isn't always a bad thing though...

Before n1ggas were killers and animals.. Now they're just fagggots and simps...

Relatively speaking it's worse to be a killer...Rappers aren't gettin beat up and thrown off of stages.. There are no Quik and Mc Eiht type situations..The Suge/J. Prince type characters have been marginalized or Black balled..

So even though we can clown the newer generation for being soft, its actually a positive thing..But then again they will probably all die of aids or drug od's instead of hollow points...

When Kanye Outsold 50. Look at how many "non gangsta" rappers came out after that.

First it was Drake, then wiz, then J cole, and the list goes on.

what other R&B/rap dudes are beefing?

and c/s, this generation may not be stuck on the violence (although in reality they are, kids are killing each other up on the streets) but all them drugs, dudes are gonna OD or have personality disorders when it's all said and done.

there really is no difference between R&B singers and Rappers today.

Rappers are singing
Singers are rapping

In Dallas, From Cleveland
When cats like Plies and Rick Ross were allowed to create fake personas and spit gangster raps and people accepted and embraced it even when they knew they weren't about that that life.

It makes these other rappers say :leon: I should do that too.

Thats why a cat like Drake can make a song called "Started from the Bottom" and it gets accepted even though EVERYONE knows that nikka didn't start at the bottom.

Truth be told, Hip Hop started slowly heading in this direction after Pac and Big got murked. Its had some phases when it got back to being street (50 cent era, Jeezy/T.I. trap era) but for the most part hip hop isn't even about the streets anymore....
