Those clowns got thrown off the stage back day.......Bad example. In all honesty the game was an aggressive sport back then. No it's all about who sounds the softest, who's jeans are the tightest and how long you and your homeboys can dap-hug each other and complain about women.

Carry on tho :laff:

And No I'm not :flabbynsick:

Just observant.

yep, Generation X failed to raise their children properly. Single parenting and a lack of mentally strong fathers did this damage.

Naw, it really begins and ends with Drake. Drake is the one who has said its not cool to beef, and because rap fans are prisoners and slaves to the big stars of the moment, they've all decided to follow their leader and become anti-beef as well. Even during the rise of the snap, crunk, ish those southern cats were competitive and unafraid to get at each other.

Dont worry, once drake starts to fade somebody will beef, and it will become okay again.
there is no lane for drake without kanye paving it first

Nah, people hated on 50 when he beefed with the likes of Jada, Nas, and Fat Joe over a song they did with Ja Rule. :heh: If that ain't some feminine ass shyt, I dunno what is. Plus, many people believe that Fif was the last of the street rap shyt being dominant. 05 and beyond, the south took over with party anthems.

That wasn't real beef:ehh:

Really? :beli: He tried to buy their publishing and even gassed up Banks by saying that he was better than Nas. His beef with Fat Joe eventually spilled out to Kahled and Rick Ross. He even tried to lure TI into beefing as well.

The hyper-masculinity of this desire to be SUPER hard has hurt the black community in many, many ways.

A lot of you will disagree, but theres nothing good that can come from this hyper-fake-masculinity that forces men to be what they aren't yet excuses and promotes brash behavior.

Being hard =/= Being masculine =/= being male.

Look at other cultures/genres.

So if drizzy drake can shoot an imaginary gun Why didn't he respond to common?? :ld:

Its not like common would physically harm him despite his past affiliations.

Actual Factual.........Can't diss these kids without in turn dissing the era in the 90's that celebrated women as bytches and hoes. Dudes smashed and shared with the homies and didn't give a shhiit about these females. Then they bounced. Leaving behind the impressionable and ultra feminized kids running the game now.

Just my theory.

Yeah, but a lot of these posers grew up with this music and live vicariously through the ultra thug era

It got soft once CD dropped. And the hardness in rap was completely gone once 50 lost the bet.

BX, NYC
It's different times. In 1991 NYC recorded about 2000 murders, last year NYC had about 450. Same goes for other major cities, the streets aren't as hard as they used to be that's why we have such little gangsta rappers today.
