Can someone post a study showing that low carb diets work better than a moderate carb diet? Would I be able to find a study that shows the reverse?

Wait your just now describing her as muscular, non of other descriptions of her stats her as being muscular, only lean and shredded, which you mention twice.....:mjlol:

Breh, again, do what you need to, if it works for you. If people aren’t interested in your diet, your perfect solution, your ability to assess body types, or what works for you and your wife, it should have no bearing on you continuing to do what you do. Just like I will never become vegan or restrict carbs no matter what everyone else does. I know what works for me, you know what works for you. That’s what matters at this point.

got hot in like 02/03/04 with atkins and south beach, then paleo was the wave (not really the strictest low carb, but being that grains are eliminated, it ends up being low carb for most), now it's keto...

it's dumb to me...i've done no carbs in a crunch when i couldn't exercise, but i don't drop any weight when i do 30g or less of carbs and workout. you can low carb effectively (less than 100g...this is really nothing if you workout) by including 1-2 servings of fruit and 1-2 servings of whole grains in your diet and still lose large amounts of weight quickly and without the rebound that happens to most who cut out all carbs and then reintroduce them. yea, no carb leads to an initial large weight loss - DUE TO WATER WEIGHT LOSS - but it is no more effective for weight loss over time than any other diet.

i will say those who have hormonal/insulin issues may benefit from it, but overall calories in <<< calories out and KIM

You have to diet for your bodytype but most people dont know how so keto is simple way to go, which is why it's so popular but it is extremely effective but takes discipline I actually did for 6 month but high to moderate carbs diets were effective for me also and you prespros serve more muscle with carb diets

@CarmelBarbie has it right. The rest of you are promoting diets that are not sustainable for most people. I think more and more people are waking up to the fact that the popular information being given out about fat loss is flawed. Eat things in moderation and exercise. Practically anyone can stick to that, and you will lose weight, albeit slowly. However, once that weight comes off, it's gone for good and the program is easy to stick to.

This is the problem with any study like that.
There are different bodytypes and diets will impact each one differently
If someone is ecto, a low carb diet wont be effective. But if you go low carb with a endomorph the results will be amazing...a meso will have lower carbs but never keto..so it depends on bodytype.

what are you talking about?

i've done zero carbs (not working out) before and i've done the diet i mentioned (working out) - both times in 4 weeks i dropped 15 lbs. i've also done no carbs for 6 weeks multiple times while working out and didn't drop more than two pounds. i've also seen plenty of people who are on the keto wave, "oh, i lost 30 pounds in 4 months"...i've gotten better results than that and seen plenty other get better results than that without eating no carbs,

furthermore every long term study of low/no carb diets shows they're no more effective at weight loss than general calorie restriction. and i know you're not arguing the science behind carbs and water weight nor the fact that those who reintroduce them often gain rebound weight?

Exactly, but you came here knocking those brehs that do keto...I'm in support of keto, but im also im support of high moderate carb diets too. However the main issue is dieting for bodytype. I can all but garentee most of those in this forum using keto diets are not skinny naturally or shredded, there more like either meso or endomorph or meso-endomorphs. Which there diet is Appropriate for there bodytype

The Truth
Breh just stop. Just say I never really stick to it and move on you really acting people putting a gun to your head and force to do it
They're all acting like someone put a gun to their heads:mjlol:

Cutting carbs is not a fad, it's literally been said for decades.

It's very fukking simple.. People taking about fad diets like juicing (weight comes back), Atkins, Jenny Craig, etc., when Keto is literally just cutting your carbs NOT ELIMINATING THEM. How have yall never heard cutting carbs?

If you don't want to lose significant weight quickly then don't do it:mjlol:

If you don't have patience or willpower, then don't do it:mjlol:

If you don't need It because of your bodytype, then keep it moving.

If you crave sweets, snacks, bread, rice, juice, etc., then it's not for you. It's also not a long term plan, I've already said this. Once you're done then you can go on some sort of regular, portion controlled bullshyt like normal people. Or not, no one is forcing you to do it but it's never been a fad.

I'm the only person I know IRL that has done it but everyone wanna sit here and ask me how to lose weight, How I lost weight, I see people starving themselves for these other fad diets and I just Keto or do a IF (which. I do that naturally and naturally don't eat carbs like that.) and I tell them to cut carbs. Thats literally it. I literally eat anything else I want. I don't drink sodas/juices (one of the MAIN sources for carbs), I don't even mix my drinks with them.

And I gained overtime after having career ending surgery. I still lifted, still worked out, ate decent, but I still just put on weight for not being as active as I once was. My grandma passed and I wanted to look GOOD for her funeral. I lost like 20+lbs in 2 months just continuing to do this shyt afterwards and eating within my window. I was back at my high school football playing weight and I still lift the same 225 x 15

Not ALL that matters as not all calories are equal and have a different hormonal response. 100g of fat will react different to 100g of carbs for example.

Leptin and Insluin have to be considered also, aswell as many other things.

Its more than just "eat less move more"
for a healthy person, all those hormonal things don't matter (unless they give in to the desire to binge when eating non filling foods, and still, in that case it's the excess calories fukking them, not the hormone response). i've personally had weeks full of shyt carbs in the past, i remember this vividly, muffins, donuts, pizza, sandwich, fries but stuck to my calories and lost 3 pounds that week. eat less than you expend, you'll lose weight, and no, you may not see the change every week, but you will see change.

now would it be smart to be trying to build muscles fueled by all carbs, nah.

I would strongly recommend people figuar out there bodytype and base there diet accordingly, that would yield maximum results

bodytype chart - Google Search

I've posted bodytype link...its legit
I’m a endomorph and keto/ low carb works best for me. In the past, I’ve done regular dieting where I just decreased my calories but my body composition is totally different now that I do keto.

people too lazy to exercise as long as you burn more calories than you intake you will lose weight

literally no excuse to be fat, you can literally leave off your body fat, one obese man fasted for over a year and didn't because he was sick of being obese, you just need activity so your heart doesn't fail

losing weight is easier than gaining weight even if you are fat, all you have to do is exercise 15 minutes a day and in a year you won't be fat anymore

when it will take a skinny person 3 years to put on your weight and not be fat
