He's a solid number 2 option in the right situation but he's not "elite" like you are claiming. We'll see how Tatum comes back from the injury, but prior to it, Tatum was clearly the better player.

Don't get it twisted - Scottie still projects to have a higher ceiling than Siakam.
I don't think they wanted him gone as much as they didn't want to lock themselves into a treadmill team built around Barnes/Siakam/OGWhy did Toronto fans want him gone @MikelArteta

He most certainly was an overrated one trick pony during that finals run in Toronto. Had the Warriors not gotten injured they would've slaughtered them, but he was able to get away with it that year since they was injured.
I didn't watch him much in between that run up til now but it's clear he's added a lot to his game while still being a great downhill PF that can handle the rock. Salute to him.

Came in to say this exact thing. He plays within himself. Nothing seems forced. Nothing seems excessive. Just controlled and consistent. He knows where his bread is buttered

He is average or above average in pretty much every category from shooting to passing to defense and is more solid then spectacular when it comes to his game. He has played for two of the less featured teams in Toronto and Indy too which doesn't help the average fan in knowing him and how good he been.
Unfortunately, he will carry this fukking team to the title tomorrow night and win Finals MVP.

Tatum is one of the most disrespected players in the league. Despite being the main guy on a team with a title, and having 3 consecutive all nba first team selections.
Siakam is a very good two way player, and hes getting it done in the playoffs, but hasnt reached the tier that Tatum has.
